My outfit posts have not been as regular as I’d like and I have found it difficult to get back in to the swing of things so I had cast it aside for the month of May. I only had four style posts last month which is rather poor. The thing is, half of my wardrobe is now filled with summer clothes and I’m just waiting for the sunshine to appear before I wear them out. All I want to do is put a summer dress on without tights, or a pineapple print playsuit with my new sandals but it doesn’t feel appropriate yet! The clothes I’ve been wearing lately have been extremely boring, definitely nothing to shout about (typing this whilst I’m in my oldest pair of jeans and a baggy hoody!) I’ve been kind of still stuck in a monochrome fashion rut for the past four weeks, similar to the outfit I’m showing here.
After re-discovering a pair of Keds hidden underneath my bed, I’ve been wearing them non-stop! I got them last Summer and I completely forgot about them until a few weeks ago. They’re a lot more flattering that Converse, which can make my feet look really big and clown-like!
Keep a look out for an influx of outfit posts in June and July. Niki’s been working a big project this past 2-3 weeks but as soon as he’s done, I’m going to ask him to help me get some photos taken!

  1. What might feel like a style rut to you has, for me, been a series of outfits I adore on you. The blue Keds add the perfect pop of colour to your monochrome look. And your hair is just fabulous in these shots!

  2. I find Converse eventually wear my toes into blisters, but your Keds are so cute, I'm thinking I should give them a try instead! I definitely understand where you're coming from on having a wardrobe of summer clothes you're itching to wear and being bored with everything else – but surely it's just around the corner..! Meanwhile, stripes always look cute, and pairing monochrome with light blue is just lovely. CC x

  3. You always look so lovely – and you can never go wrong with breton tops and black skinnies. Totally get what you mean with this crazy weather. I went tightness at the weekend but so far this week it's been tights and jeans kind of weather. I wish our weather wasn't so temperamental!

  4. It's such weird transitional weather isn't it? I'm never too sure what to be wearing each day. Love the breton top and ray bans combination – so classic.

  5. Love this outfit, and the color of those Keds is so perfect for summer! I know what you mean about Converse looking a little too big sometimes 🙂

  6. You look gorgeous Sarah! I absolutely adore this stripe top, I clicked straight through and of course it's sold out in my size and the next size up! Though with 25% student discount at the minute I don't blame everyone for stocking up! I know how you feel with the weather and wearing the same old clothes, all we want to do is go out without wearing coats and boots and it's pretty impossible right now! Have to say I love your hair like this too 🙂 xxx

  7. I really love this outfit strips look fab with black trousers and the shoes are a good find they are lovely. This is a very cool look. Lucky to have bought out all your summer clothes mine are still very much buried Lucy x

  8. Nothing wrong with extremely boring! Although trust me, your outfits never are! Stripes are my fave as well, such a go too pattern when I'm lacking the imagination of vibrant out there clothes, you look lovely too and your shoes match perfectly!
