Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone!
I don’t live in a secret part of the country where I’ve stolen the warm sunshine to keep all for myself as it may appear from my photo! Although it is sunny in Dublin today, it’s still very very cold! Definitely not warm enough to go without a coat! The photo above was taken a couple of years ago now. Not last summer but the summer before that. I can’t wait for the warmer weather because the past couple of months have been quite disruptive due to the weather. As always, it has been grim up north!
I just wanted to write this post as a sort of update as it feels I’ve lost a bit of connection with the blog lately! The reason is mainly that I am working a lot more with various other jobs but also part of me has let myself get caught up with a few negative things and then I started to compare myself with others. I do this all the time but I’ve been doing it more often lately. Last month, I went with the “don’t blog for the sake of blogging” rule and my decision to take a step back has only made me feel a bit out of routine. All I have to do is get a grip, really! That’s all there is to it! I was on such a good roll towards the end of the year, blogging almost every day but I just need to see the fun side of it again and I will soon pick things back up again. Reminder to self: Blogging is suppose to be fun and it is not suppose to feel like a chore. Recently, though, I have enjoyed putting together the beauty posts and there’s a lot more to come as I’ve been splurging with a few bits and bobs! The frequent trips to Boots will not be happening anymore – at least not for the next couple of months  – because I’m moving houses (I’ll miss Oscar lots and lots!) and trying to “save up” to get some nice homeware! Oh, and rent! You can guess that I’ve not done a very good job with saving up. Ugh. Help!
Side note: I don’t usually use song lyrics as blogpost titles but this one by Foster The People is from the best advert on tv at the moment and will forever reminds me of David Beckham’s butt! Awesome!

  1. I love your outfit! Good for you for only blogging when you want to- it IS fun, so it should never feel like something you HAVE to do! Good luck with the move, I hope it goes well for you! x

  2. Lovely post, you look beautiful 🙂 Oh no you're leaving Oscar!! I'm sure you will be paying him lots and lots of visits 🙂

I'm glad your feeling positive about your blog again, it is one of the best out there; I really mean that.
