HAPPY NEW YEAR, everyone!
Here’s an outfit post with a difference! Something fun to start the new year off! F&F sent me a paper doll version of myself along with some little paper clothes to dress her in! It’s one interesting way to get bloggers to blog about a brand’s new collection, that’s for sure!
F&F has been one of my favourite brands to work with in 2013, I just feel that they really get social media and collaborating with bloggers and youtubers. They come up with such clever ideas that are fun and fresh, and always achieves great results.
paper doll party, F&F paper dolls
Their latest social media project is a styling challenge that comes in the form of a paper doll and some gorgeous F&F party wear. Not only was the doll illustrated to look like me, but I was delighted to see that it was a taller version of myself! So that’s what I would look like if I had longer legs… I kinda like it!
A group of bloggers have been sent the same pack (with an illustrated version of themselves instead, not me!) and F&F are going to choose the best blogpost to win a luxury trip to London! I would have blogged about this paper doll either way, so it’s an added bonus to be entered for a prize trip!
In real life, I am too short to wear most of F&F dresses so it was nice to play around with the outfits (all of which you can buy from F&F – links above) and see what I’d look like like in them.
I had a lot of fun setting up this miniature photo-shoot AND I didn’t have to rely on going outdoors to get this done, which is just as well because I don’t fancy going out in the rain!
I dressed my paper doll in the paper outfits, trying on the dresses and finding myself saying “nah, this doesn’t look right!” as if I was styling a real person! I created a few fancy backdrops and started snapping away on my camera just as I would if it was a real life outfit shoot!
If you fancy having a go yourself, head over to the #FFPaperDollParty page to print a doll and dress it in an outfit of your choice! Although this competition has now closed, I’ve got another one for you…F&F would also love to give away £25 gift voucher to one of my blog readers. To enter, all you have to do is comment below and let us know which of the six paper doll party outfits (above) that you like the best! T&C’s here

  1. Number 3 is my favourite outfit – I love the collar detailing. Think I'll be spending at F&F after payday… only have to wait until the 15th! 🙂

  2. Brilliant idea! Such strange timing as we were only talking last week at work about the old dolls you used to cut out of the back of Twinkle and Bunty comic (does that show how old we are?!), stick onto an old cereal packet and then dress! Love all of your new looks but number 3 in particular 🙂 x

  3. That is such a cute idea! I'd say my favourite dress is probably number 3 (the black skater style dress) it's very flattering and you could wear to all sort of occasions x

  4. Well, although I love the Oriental Style print on number 6, My favourite is number 4 – Such a classic neckline, slightly vintage in style, would suit Jackie Kennedy (Onassis)…. or Me! 🙂 Plus, I spend far too much money at Florence & Fred anyway (most days my entire outfit is from them!) so some extra cashola would come in mighty handy! 😀

    xxxxx

  5. Okay – well, I love Number 6 for it's Oriental style print BUT my fave is Number 4 – Classic, vintage neckline (sooo Jackie O!) I love it 🙂 Would be extremely helpful to get some extra cashola to spend at F&F as most days I wear entire outfits from their range LOL 😀 😀 xxxxxxx

  6. Wow! You are very lucky to take part in this. I used to love paper dolls when I was younger and it's amazing how it looks like you. 🙂
I love Tesco as well, they have beautiful, good quality clothing for less. What is there not to like?

My favourite dress is the Winter Floral Print dress (6). It's so stylish and in flattering colours.

  7. Sarah these paper dolls are adorable – you look so fabulous as one!! They all look so cute but I was immediately drawn to the pink dress (no. 2). I love the black detailing round the neckline and I'm pretty obsessed with all shades of pink this season…! I think I will have a look at Tesco's paper doll link, but please count me in for the giveaway as well, I'd love to treat myself on F+F things 🙂

Happy New Year my lovely, hope you're well

  8. I adore dress number 1 because I love the vintage style of it. It is really Audrey Hepburn – one of my idols. I think it's elegant, classic, stylish but super sexy and flattering too!

  9. I am so guttered that i missed the FF comp, i used to love playing dress up with my paper dolls when i was younger, in fact i still love playing dress up. Okay on with your comp…i adore dress number 6 because it is the perfect work/party dress, it can be dressed down for work or up for a girls night. I also love the floral print. very 2014!

  10. F&F have such adorable ideas! They really do seem to #get' bloggers – even saving you the trouble of going outside for outfit pictures, how nice of them! I bet you had so much fun styling all those little pieves. I'd love to be entered in this competition; number 5 is my favourite as I'm all about the bold blocky colours.
Hope you're having a good start to 2014!

  11. This isthe cutest thing, and how cool is it that you have a paper doll of youself?! Amazing.

Can't decided between outfits 4 and 6, love the style of both, but I think the more formal note of 6 as opposed the pink is winning out- just!

Wishing you the happiest of New Years, and I hope you had a lovely Christmas.

  12. Love how they did your doll's hair and glasses! I came across the illustrator on Twitter @viv_harries – lovely job! You picked some dresses that passed me by completely, great looks! xx Julia (Stylonylon)

  13. The doll is so cute, it really looks like you! I like 2,3 and 6, but I think my favourite is 3 as it's timeless! X

  14. I am in love with this concept! You look amazing even as a paper doll Sarah, stylish lady 🙂 I used to love playing with paper dolls when I was younger, I could spend hours dressing and redressing them. I love the fact that companies use biscuits now, always a bonus if a sweet treat is involved, so pretty too! xxx

  15. I love number 6 best! I like how it's classy but with a little edge to it. <3 And those paper dolls are just so adorable! 😀 x
