This year, splitting my time blogging both outfit and beauty posts meant that I was able to keep at it at a consistence pace which is what I wanted to do. Last year, I took my blog offline twice and I had a break from it all but I didn’t want that in 2013, and a lot of exciting things have happened from it! My favourite outfits of the year are mainly the ones from Summer, I love that time of year and as vain as it sounds, my skin is better in warmer weather with minimal efforts to maintain it! It just makes you feel that little bit more confident, doesn’t it, ladies? I’ve just had a look a my 2012 round up from last December and
An outfit without accessory is like a tea party without cake! My taste in jewellery has changed but I still love accessorising and I think that’s what brings a whole outfit together. I’ve kept it simple this year, but I intend to keep my shoes and bag collection growing in 2014! Oh, yes!
————————————-
I don’t know about the other bloggers but I have felt that there’s so much emphasis on “statistics” – and I understand the importance of it – but for me, it got to the point where it really got me down. I’d worked hard but felt that I wasn’t good enough. It made blogging not as fun so I had to stop myself from thinking that. I’m really hard on myself so I am always aiming for higher!
What I am extremely proud of in 2013 is overcoming fears and personal issues. I decided not to let my anxiety take control of me like it has in the past and I did things that I used to consider scary enough to trigger an anxiety attack. All of this was possible because of this blog! I don’t channel any negativity in to this blog (What’s the point in doing that? Who will it ever benefit from it? No one), and if I don’t feel like myself, I won’t blog that day. I still struggle with “positive mental attitude” but I didn’t allow the panic stop me from doing things (much!). I got to go to Germany to a blogger event (I flew out there by myself! eeek!), lots of meetings in London, working with Malibu Rum and LOOK Magazine, teaming up with F&F for their party wear campaign (check out our video!) and I also started a YouTube channel.
Other things that happened in my life this year was that I moved in to my own place and I’m really enjoying it but I miss seeing Oscar every day! My mum got a miniature poodle puppy, who I’ve been bonding with this Christmas (she is a BABE!), and my sister got married in July!
I’ve had a relaxing end to the year. Christmas at home was very chilled and I enjoyed eating all the cheese, but I’m ready for the new year and to get back to a routine! All there is left to say for now is a big humongous THANK YOU to everyone who has ever visited my blog and follows it. There’s always room for new bloggers so if you’re thinking of starting one, don’t hesitate! It might just be the best thing you’ve ever done!
Have a HAPPY NEW YEAR, guys! Love to you all! x

  1. You have such an incredible blog Sarah! Sometimes the focus on statistics gets me down but then I have to remember why I'm blogging, because I love fashion and it's a great creative outlet. Yay for overcoming fears! I sometimes get anxious about social situations too (even though I love it when I'm there). I love your amazing photography and honest reviews, you have one of the best blogs in the UK for sure. <3

  2. I've probably said this before, but I love your style so much! I'm not much of an accessory person, but you always manage to pull them off so well. I'm glad to hear that you've overcome your fears by the way, it sounds like it all paid off 🙂

  3. Simply loving this compilation of outfits you my dear have incredible style and I could quite happily trade wardrobes! So honest of you to talk about your anxiety which is very hard to I think admit on your blog….there are times when I wish i could go a little deeper but am afraid to.

WIshing you all the success, happiness and health in the new year! It has been a pleasure reading your blog even though i only discovered you in the latter part of the year it's really been one of my favourites!

  4. Your montage is beautiful. I love so many of your outfits. I agree the pressure of stats can be depressing. It's got me down a lot but now I m trying to just enjoy blogging and not worry.
