Despite all of my dresses and the “smart/casual” outfits I document on the blog sporadically, this denim shirt and baggy tshirt combination is what I’ve been spending most of my days in recently, which explains why I don’t do daily outfit posts! When I work from home, I usually just plonk myself in to loose-fitted tshirt and either a hoody, or this denim shirt. It also wasn’t until the beginning of this year that I rediscovered my love for plimsolls and sneakers, as I remember saying in this outfit post that I’ve hardly worn them in so many years but now you can’t get me out of them!
Although this outfit is my ‘comfort zone’ when I’m in the house, it is equally out of my comfort zone when I wear this out – if that makes sense?! It is perhaps a good one for walks in the park, and shopping at the supermarket, but I wouldn’t wear this in public to meet friends, go out for lunch and of course, it’s obviously not appropriate for meetings! However, when Eastpak approached me with a little collab, I thought it would be a nice opportunity to show a different side to my style. Something that’s not girly or smart, for once!
I am really into backpacks and rucksacks these days (well, let’s just be honest, I am obsessed with any style of bags!!) and I’ve got a couple of them including a really big Cath Kidston one which is quite boxy and makes me feel like a Ghostbuster! I also this little black backpack from New Look which I LOVE but I can hardly store anything in it. It only fits the essentials like my purse, phone, external charger, hand cream and lip balm, but what a novelty it is to be able to fit more into a bag! This Eastpak backpack (bit of a tongue-twister, try saying that drunk!) is a classic style and inside it, I’ve got a hoody (for when it gets a little too chilly!), along with my cosy wooly scarf, lunchbox, the big camera, a second camera lens, and all of my other essentials I mentioned above! I’d even put a small blanket in there if it was really cold! The design is really cool too not to mention the quality is great. Niki uses his backpack every day, it’s from USC and the plastic lining has been flaking off since he first started using it. That stuff goes everywhere and it’s horrible! So, needless to say, he is going to invest in a Easpak after seeing mine. They offer a 30 year warranty too, which is a winner! I love the funky, colourful design, it’s a 1988 re-edition and I love a good 80’s style print!
If you have anything from Eastpak, you can take part in their #MadeForYourCity campaign in collaboration with Size? where you simply upload a photo of your Eastpak in your favourite city, town, village (anywhere at all!) to Instagram, Facebook or Twitter using the hashtag #MadeForYourCity. You can win a trip for 2 to Berlin and £300 spending money! I’ll be entering with my photos here, I have always wanted to go to Berlin and I’m going to try my luck with this competition! You’ve got to be in it to win it, right?

  1. You look great! I've yet to try the denim shirt over a t shirt look, I'm not sure if I could pull it off haha. Love your matching shoes.

  2. Ahh that tee-shirt is so cute! It's so easy to get into the habit of dressing up all the time, but sometimes it's nice to go out in a casual and comfortable outfit – especially when you still look trendy and chic 🙂

  3. I love this outfit! I've found myself going for more casual clothes recently. I still love dresses but leggings and a t shirt are just so darned comfy! Infact it's just after 4pm and I'm writing this in my pyjamas.

I really love the t shirt too, such a cute print : )

    xx

  4. Oh I used to love Eastpak! It was THE thing back in the days xD
Love your outfit, it really does look comfy! I know what you mean, I love to dress up too when I go out, and be it only a short trip downtown but I think this kind of look would be great for campus, especially since I have to spend over 8hrs on campus this semester -.-" Thanks for being so inspirational ^.^
