There are two types of adults in this world. The first are those that moan that it’s too early for Easter eggs on supermarket shelves RIGHT AFTER CHRISTMAS (I suspect they’re the ones also complaining that November is too early for a Christmas tree to see the day of light). And the second? They’re happy to be reminded when the next Bank Holiday is and already counting down the weeks until time off work. I fall into the latter category. I love work but I love a 4-day weekend more.

With the turn of a new season and the brighter weather ahead, Easter is a wonderful time to get together with family and friends. It just so happens that we have two Easter bunnies in our family who’s birthday falls on Easter weekend. My sister turns 26, and my niece who will be 8 years old – this calls for an extra special family dinner party and, of course, we’ll make it an Easter-themed party. Check Not on The High Street for the best gifts for any time of the year.
