Running around town like a headless chicken or getting frazzled by online shopping is so not a good look. And yet here I am.
You can guarantee that there’ll be some of us (ie. me!!!) will self-inflict that pain on ourselves. What was I saying a few weeks ago about being organised and aiming to complete my Christmas shopping way before December? Yeah, that went out the window.
I am better this year and I actually have done 50% of my shopping but if you’re like me and have a few more people to buy for (leaving those who ones that are difficult to buy for until the last minute!) then here are some last minute gift ideas to impress those who are hard-to-impress!
Norma and Dorothy personalised gifts*, from £4.50
Who doesn’t love things with their name on it?! For something special, visit Norma and Dorothy where they sell personalised gifts such as festive baubles and candles for this time of year or stationery and keepsakes for all other occasions such as birthday, weddings and anniversaries.
Redken extreme hair set*, £36
Hair care might seem like one of the most boring gifts but there’s nothing like washing your hair with a more-expensive-than-your-average shampoo and your hair being clean for 3 days!
I’ve become very fussy with what hair care I use, whereas before, I just picked up the cheapest shampoo off the supermarket shelves (and had to wash my hair every day because of the build-up and ineffectiveness).
Now that I have to wake up early to commute 35 miles to work, the mornings are tough and I’ll do anything to avoid washing my hair for ‘just one more day’.
Redken extreme shampoo and conditioner is worth the extra money as it keeps my hair clean for up to 3 whole days and so I highly recommend this set. Last year, I got Morocconoil hair set and that was brilliant too. A little goes a long way so it should last a few weeks longer than the regular shampoo.
Tropic Skincare Skin Discovery Kit*, £28
Did anyone watch The Apprentice last week when Lord Sugar told Pamela that he owns a beauty business? I was like YES, I KNOW AND I LOVE IT!
He co-owns Tropic Skincare with founder and former The Apprentice candidate Susan Ma. It’s so cliche when bloggers say that they’re ~obsessedzzz~ with a brand but I really do champion Tropic Skincare.
If you know a friend who is in to their skincare, anything from the Tropic brand would impress them. My favourite are their serums and face masks but they can be quite pricy to buy as a present, so may I suggest the Discover Skincare kit which is a starter set of their best sellers in travel sized bottles: cleanser, toner, moisturiser and serum for just £28!
By Sarah London gift set*, £55
With the temperatures dropping, our skin is suffering. I don’t know about you but my hands, arm, legs, everything, is just so dry and irritated from the cold.
By Sarah London was recently introduced to me (If the name Sarah is on the branding/packaging, you have my full undivided attention!) and I learned that the brand was started by two sisters to offer a more transparent and sustainable brand in a challenging industry.
Their Organic Christmas Body and Hair Care set features an award winning, cold press oil blended with apricot oil and almond oil & a hair oil made with argan oil and vitamin E. Cased in a recycled . box wrapped in sleeve that’s made of crushed grapes saved from landfill and made from 100% green energy.
And it’s suitable for vegans too!
Sand & Sky Ultimate Pore Perfection set*, £39.90
The packaging caught my eye on this one! This gift set from Sand & Sky is available from Birchbox and it’s currently on sale for £23.94.
If you know someone who’s in need of a pamper, this is a great set, slap some clay mask on and a slice of cucumber over each eye and all is right in the world!
This set includes a pot of Australian pink clay mask and a small tube of Flash Perfecting Exfoliating Treatment plus a soft face mitt.
DAFNI Go Straightening Hair Brush*, £99.95
A brush that also straightens hair. Genius. If it cuts down even one minute of my time in the mornings, I am on to it!
DAFNI Go Straightening Hair Brush is made for busy people on the go. It’s 3D ceramic surface, high tech brush allows you to go from root to tip without burning your scalp or hair!
It reaches and maintains the heat at 185 degrees. Simply brush, straighten, and GO!
