The end of August is nearing which means Summer is almost at an end. I seem to have fallen out of love for the Summer this year, but I did get to travel to Italy for a very special occasion at the start of the season. It was a much-needed break which momentarily broke me out of being in autopilot mode.
I used to share these types of personal moments a lot before my blog was taken over my fashion and beauty and whatnot. If anything, it’s nice for me to look back on and remember the memorable moments. Because I have such poor short term memory, you see.
The Tuscan Villa
We stayed in a huge private villa in the remote Chianti Hills just south of Florence with family (and there really was a lot of us!).
Surrounded by olive and grape fields, forest and woodland, the converted farm house is over 300 years old and has been restored as a country villa that still had it’s Tuscan flavour.
We would spend the day time exploring the nearby areas of Florence and Arezzo, and reunite with family in the evenings to eating traditional Tuscan food around the big dining table, drinking red wine all night.
Family Time
It had been years since we went on a big family holiday, but the reason we gathered together was for a wedding. It was such a once-in-a-life-time opportunity to be around the best people and party together at the top of the hills of Tuscany.
For the occasion, I dressed like an emoji (red dress from asos) 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻
Pizza Party
It wouldn’t be a holiday in Italy without a pizza pool party!
Apart from it being the most dreamiest holiday ever, the one thing I’ll miss is eating as much stone baked pizzas I want for breakfast without being judged!
