Budget Friendly Beauty Brands

Looking after your skin and body doesn’t have to cost a fortune.

We all like to splurge every now and then; but there are so many decent budget friendly beauty brands to get your hands on.

Budget-Friendly Beauty Brands

My beauty collection is predominantly filled with products from affordable, budget friendly beauty brands.

Admittedly, before I started my blog, I used to think that the more expensive the product, the better. But over the years, I’ve learned that the price tag doesn’t necessarily relate to a product’s effectiveness. Quality, maybe. Packaging, certainly. But effectiveness, no. It has been a tough and expensive lesson!

Here are 7 affordable budget friendly beauty brands I’ve been enjoying recently:

Yes To

Keeping their standards high but prices low, Yes To puts the fun into your daily beauty routine. Formulated with ingredients such as cucumbers, tomatoes, grapefruit, coconut and active charcoal, Yes To creates innovative beauty solutions, and products that are formulated with 95% natural ingredients.

There are many products within their range to suit whatever skin type you are. I recommend the Yes To Tomatoes Detoxifying Peel-Off Mask (£11.99) because there’s nothing more satisfying than peeling things off your skin (right?!) – but also because the combination of charcoal and tomato extract in it’s formula gently lifts impurities and excess oil from the skin.

I also love the Yes To Grapefruit Glow Enhancing Vitamin C Booster (£10). It’s a serum that can be applied on it’s own or for convenience and versatility, you can add a couple of drop to your cleanser or moisturiser for a boost in radiance. It doesn’t leave a greasy residue, just great looking skin! Great for those with dull skin and in need of an instant glow boost!

nugg skincare

nügg

Founded by Dr. Conny Wittke, the former CEO of Tweezerman, nügg is a brand that is best known for it’s individually wrapped, travel-friendly face masks and effective lip treatments.

Affordable but never compromising on quality, nugg products are formulated with at least 93% natural or naturally-derived ingredients. Available from Beauty Bay, Selfridges and ASOS, nügg face masks pods (of “nuggets”, as affectionately referred to) start from £3.95.

Recommendation: If you suffer from dry lips like me, try the nügg Hydrating Lip Mask. Apply before you go to sleep and leave on overnight for an boost in hydration. The creamy formula features shea butter, coconut oil, and liquorice root complex to leave lips smoother and moisturised.

Patisserie De Bain Patisserie De Bain

Patisserie De Bain

I love a brand with big personality and Patisserie De Bain is exactly that.

Creating almost-good-enough-to-eat bath and body products inspired by patisserie and sweet treats with a quirky branding, you can guarantee that you’ll come out of the bathroom smelling like dessert!

Recommendation: I love them all! But the newest additions to the range are Pineapple Paradise, and Mango Sorbet hand creams (£3.99). Perfect for Summer!

I Love…

For the celebration of their 10th anniversary, I Love… have had a branding makeover.

Remaining bright and colourful, the overall brand identity has been given a more ‘grown up’ treatment, with 5 new fragrances which are currently an online exclusive.

Launching with 5 signature scents as part of the brand refresh, the collection (which starts from £5) includes:

Exotic Fruits – A tropical blend of mango, grapefruit, melon, permission, and pineapple.

Glazed Raspberry – Inspired by a glazed raspberry doughnut, this collection features sugary vanilla, juicy raspberries, and strawberries.

Vanilla Milk – Rich, creamy tones that includes vanilla, bergamot, milk accord, and amber.

Violet Dreams – If you love parma violets, you’ll love the scent of Violet Dreams, a medley of bergamot, green apple, white lily, jasmine, patchouli, violet, vanilla, and candy floss! Dreamy!

Elderflower Fizz – This smells like the countryside after the rain. It delicate, fruity, floral and green with it’s notes of lemony elderflower, cucumber, apple, and jasmine.

English Rose – Has notes of rose, pear, red berries, jasmine, and amber. Smells pleasant enough but the fragrance isn’t strong enough for me.

Garnier

Needless to say, Garnier are a huge brand. But even though it’s an accessible and affordable brand, I have rarely bought anything from Garnier until this year. Like, even looking on their website is overwhelming.

In addition to their best-selling Micellar Cleansing Water, Garnier have released an Oil-Infused version for delicate skin and eyes, an even more gentle formula than it’s original which removes make up without rubbing, thanks to cornflower being the key ingredient here.

Recommendations: For dry or dehydrated skin, the Garnier Aloe Vera range works a treat! I’ve been enjoying their 3-in-1 Hydrating Aloe Water Jelly which you can use as a day cream, night cream, and mask. The aloe vera and hyaluronic acid leaves skin fresh and rehydrated for up to 48 hours.

Budget Friendly Beauty Brands

Palmers

Already a fan of Palmers delicious smelling cocoa butter body lotions? They’ve expanded their range so you can now get skincare in their signature cocoa butter scent.  From creamy cleansers, to clay masks, facial oils to day cream – the small collection starts from £5.99.

The formulas are typical of Palmer’s – gentle, nourishing, packed with cocoa butter and vitamin E. It’s dermatologically tested and suitable for sensitive skin.

Formula 10.0.6

Did you know… ‘Ten-O-Six’ was founded in the early 1930s? Nope, me neither! It’s interesting to discover how Formula 10.0.6 have evolved since the 30s, and it appears that part of their success is because of their decision to move with the times.

As a modern skincare brand, Formula 10.0.6 is designed for young skin – competing with the likes of Clearasil.

Recommendation: Seriously Shine Free Moisturiser (£7.50) to keep your skin from looking less shiny during Summer. Anything that reduce shine and gives a matte finish is a welcome addition to my beauty regime.
