Release Your Best Glow With The NEW bareMinerals Crystalline Highlight Collection
I don’t tend to latch on to make-up trends so easily but when I eventually come round to it, I’m about a million years behind. Think bold eyebrows, contouring, and nude lips (to name a few) – I’m late to the party – as per usual!
Or maybe I was just ahead of the time. Think about it; about 15 years ago, I was really into using make-up products with pearlescent sheen to it. Everything in my make-up had to have a shimmery, glittery finish (I am a 90s kid, after all).

I dabbled in a few highlighters but I was hooked once I got my mitts on Benefit High Glow. How many bottles of High Glow have I gone through since then? Oh, I don’t know… 30, maybe?! Seriously, I wanted slap that all over my face every morning.
I’m fully aware of how that this particular beauty trend has been taken up a notch since then, the trend goes hand-in-hand with bronzer and contouring and Instagram’s Explore page doesn’t let me forget that.
When the products are used correctly, you can look like a sculpted goddess. I mean, at this point, I’d like to mention that I haven’t mastered the skill of highlighting and contouring, since my face still resembles a potato (lol, not lol) and the fact that I’ve just said in the paragraph above that I used to apply High Glow all over my face is a tell-tale sign that I haven’t got to grips with it yet.
However, I have, since the early 2000s, stopped applying highlighter (or anything shimmery) all over to limiting the use of it by dabbing it over the apples of my cheeks.
When the brand new limited edition Crystalline collection from bareMinerals arrived, I had to hold myself back. I had the urge to grab the nearest brush, swirl it around, and apply it ALL OVER . But no, I was more restrained. A large part of the restraint might have something to do with the fact that it looks too pretty to use. After the initial excitement, I handled the rose gold goodness with care.
Crystalline by bareMinerals features a micro-fine rose quartz crystal encased in rose gold packaging. It’s dreamy AF. The use of rose quartz gives a glow like no other. The collection consists of the Crystalline Glow Bronze and Highlight Palette, Crystalline Glow Highlighter Sticks in 3 shades.

The use of crushed rose quartz crystals and an ingredient called squalane (derived from olives) that has properties to keep skin hydrated. The powders are sheer but buildable, and can be used dry for a natural radiance or wet for a high impact shimmer.
The multi-dimensional shades can be applied on it’s own or layered, and with most highlighters, you can use this on areas that hits the light for the ultimate sculpt and accentuation. Use on the centre of your forehead to bring dimension, below the brow bone to open the eyes, right down the centre of your nose to make it appear straighter and smaller, and cupid’s arrow above your lips to make your lips look fuller.
