Vegan Beauty Gifts For Christmas
As someone who is trying to educate themselves on the vegan lifestyle, and as a start, I’ve become really interested in vegan beauty products
this year. I’ve got a long way to go but I’ve lessened my meat consumption considerably and I intend to keep going. I’ve been making veggie lunches for work this month (well, mainly, I’m trying the Special K diet at the moment, which I have for lunch with soy milk) and my dinners as of late has consisted of Linda McCartney sausages and a big bowl of salad, and I feel better for it.
Towards the end of 2016, I began a vegan beauty section
on my blog and I can’t wait to build on this in 2018. Naturally, one of my last post of the year had to be a vegan beauty one and naturally, it had to be a gift guide.
Nailberry L’Oxygene Nail Polish*, £14.50 (shop link)
Available in a huge range of shades, Nailberry polishes are worth paying extra for.
The award winning brand offers a nail polish range that are 12-free (which means it’s free from 12 potentially toxic chemicals including parabens, toluene, formaldehyde, alcohol, and animal derivatives to name a few), gluten free, vegan and cruelty-free, certified halal, with a breathable, oxygenated and moisture permeable formula which allows air and water vapour to pass through the nails.
Nailberry are accepting UK orders until Christmas Eve and all orders come with a free gift box and free shipping. Amazing.
Sukin Super Greens Gift Set*, £19.99 (shop link)
This is sold out on the Holland&Barrett website, but they retail this Sukin Super Greens Gift set for £30 when I have found it on natural health and beauty site called Bodykind which retails the same gift set for £19.99.
The set contains 3 skincare products that help you make the perfect 3-step routine. The set includes a detoxifying facial scrub, a detoxifying clay masque, and a face moisturiser created to leave your skin healthy-looking and radiant in appearance. The key ingredients is kale spirulina and chlorella which is packed with antioxidants and vitamins for a youthful glow.
Inika All About Eyes*, £25 (shop link)
Inika really pave the way for vegan cosmetic brands. You’ll be utterly amazed at how well their cosmetics perform – they’re highly pigmented, long-wearing, and easy to apply. I’ve tried lots of things in their range and they remain a favourite of mine. I don’t think there’s a single Inika I don’t like. Each one I’ve tried is better than the next, it’s a brand that I am constantly impressed with and I can’t sing their praises enough.
The All About Eyes is part of their Christmas gift range and it includes Inika’s Long Lash Vegan Mineral Mascara and their Certified Organic Liquid Eyeliner for dramatic eyes – all packaged in a black cosmetics bag.
Evolve Organic Beauty Chocolate Skin Heaven Gift Set*, £26 (shop link)
It would be amazing if all skincare could contain chocolate. Please and thank you.
This gorgeous skincare gift set features two lovely products by Evolve Organic Beauty. One is the Radiant Glow Mask which is made from organic raw cocao powder and clay with coconut granuals. The granuals provide the gritty, scrubby bits that exfoliates away dead skin cells to reveal a more radiant glow. But my favourite thing about this mask is the fact it features raw cocao powder, it looks and smells like chocolate – I doubt that it taste like a bar of Cadbury’s, but it’s hard to resist licking it! (I haven’t tried, I promise…)
The Daily Renew Facial Cream gives a boost of hydration, and locks in moisture thanks to the super formula of hyaluronic acide, natural peptides and argan oil. A little goes a long way so even if it’s seems like a small tub (30ml), it will last a good few months.
