We planned an impromptu picnic at the weekend with the family and even though it was a slightly chilly, I thought ‘it’s now or never’. The summer dresses were coming out. Come rain or shine! If I don’t wear it now, I probably won’t get another chance to.
It felt very un-nerving to leave the house without a pair of tights and a big coat even though we’re half way through August and Summer is almost over. I’m not used to it. Look how pale my legs are. I ran out of fake tan (or rather, I can’t use the tan I’ve got because it’s way past it’s expiry date!)
I paired the red floral off-the-shoulder dress with my old sandals from ASOS and prayed it wouldn’t get any colder. throughout the day. Or worse. Rain. I was in sandals and I didn’t take a brolly. I felt like living dangerously that day, clearly.
My go-to website lately has been Boohoo, I have bought a lot of workwear this past month. There’s lots to choose from and at such a great price point. Cheap prices does come at a price. Some of the clothing I’ve bought to wear for work have gone really out of shape after a couple of washes, and more often than not, it’s hard to get in and out of some of the dresses (The fear of getting it stuck half way up and risking a shoulder dislocation? The struggle is real).
But I am kind of addicted to receiving Boohoo parcels. This red floral summer dress was only £12, so how could I resist!
The weather held up for most of the day and we had such a nice day with the family. It was mainly a day planned so the dogs could get together – there was 5 in total. Bonnie (miniature poodle), Tyler and Gus (Both chowski), Lucas (Jack Russell) and Misha (Chihuahua). So cute, right? They had THE BEST DAY together!
Oh, the baby is my neice, by the way. I know I’ve not shown my face on the blog for a while but I haven’t gone and popped out a kid.
