A Liquid Lipstick That’s As Good As Kylie Lip Kits

They’re long-wearing, non-drying, and budge-proof. Plus, you won’t ever be met with the annoying ‘sold out’ label because there isn’t that hype over these like there are with the Kylie Lip Kits, you’ll always be able to buy them without clambering over each other.

Usually reserved for when I’m on a night out (which, by my own admission, is extremely rare these days!) the vegan-friendly Lord & Berry Timeless Kissproof Lipstick is one of my favourite matte liquid lipsticks to use for a bold, statement lip. 

As with most matte lipsticks, it’s best used when your lips are in great condition (mine have been a total annoyance recently. A mixture of the cold weather and dehydration!) but you can get away with it with a liquid formula as it doesn’t cling on to dry lips. Prep your lips with a sugar scrub and a bit of conditioning balm and you’re good to go.

To apply, firstly line the lips with the soft doe foot applicator and then fill in with clean sweeps. It is wonderfully opaque so one stroke would be enough. Any more and it will start to feel like a thick paint. Lord & Berry have launched new shades for Spring but the formula remains the same, it is enriched with Neem, sesame oil and frankincense essential for moisture and long lasting hydration. 

The three that I’ve been testing are:

A stunning fuchsia pink with a cool, purple undertone. This colour is very trendy in fashion this season! It’s such a nice shade for Spring.

This is a nude-brown and I can sense that this is going to be a popular shade. It’s too dark for me and it doesn’t suit my style (oh, how I wish it did though!) but I’m just not cool enough to pull off what we refer to as the ‘Instagram look’. The flawless look with the perfect eyebrows, the perfect contour, the perfect highlight, the gorgeous full lips, the stylish choker. My face is too much of a potato to pull off that look but I do know that this shade, First Lady, will be most coveted.

A sexy, sharp, blue toned red; the kind of shade that would make you teeth appear whiter! If you’re in to red with more warmth, go for Bold Red instead.
