A Winter Lush Haul

LUSH Winter Haul

Not one to participate in the madness that is the Lush boxing day sale, I stocked up on a few favourites bath bombs at around the end of November/early December time.
Life got so hectic (as it tends to around that time of year), I didn’t have time to take photos of my Lush haul… which meant I couldn’t use any of my new bath bombs until I had photographed each one for my blog.

A Winter Lush Haul
That’s fine though, good things are worth waiting for but Lush didn’t get a look in during December because I had scrummy Lola’s Apothecary bath oil, relaxing Seascape bath stuff, luxurious Nuxe bodycare, AND a whole load of goodies from Soap & Glory half price star gift to get stuck in to!

But I can’t tell you how excited I am to finally be able to use these bath bombs from Lush. A couple of them were gifts from my Sister but I bought the bulk of it when I went Christmas shopping in Leeds. Yeah, Christmas shopping and buying presents for MYSELF.

Santasaurus Bubble Bar

lush Santasaurus Bubble Bar
How cute is Santasaurus? I wish I stocked up on this reusable bubble bar but I’m sure it will make a big return when Christmas comes around again, and it will be wort the wait.
Santasaurus has Brazilian orange and bergamot, so you would expect it to be quite citrusy, but my nose detected a strong scent of something sweet; like honey or caramel. I managed to get 5 baths out of this bar, each with huge mounds of fluffy bubbles!

Magic Wand Bubble Bar

Lush Magic Wand Bubble Bar
This is a popular bubble bar that comes back year after year – it’s star shaped, pink, and sparkly – but it is the very first time I have used it! It belongs to the Snow Fairy scent family, which is my joint favourite along with The Comforter, so I don’t know what took me so long to try Magic Wand Bubble Bar.
Again, you can get 4-5 baths out of this, it creates a lot of bubbles and turns the bath water pink. It smells like sweets, bubblegum, candyfloss and all that candy goodness.

Fizzbanger Bath Bomb

lush Fizzbanger Bath Bomb
I was put off by the yellow-ness of Fizzbanger at first because I dislike it when bath products turn the water yellow, it makes it looks like I’m bathing in wee. But actually, never judge a bath bomb by it’s front colour, because I was completely wrong about Fizzbanger, it has a blue centre which, when mixed with yellow, turns the bath water green.
The blue was a great surprise, AND… I even heard a few crackles from the popping candy. AND, if that wasn’t enough, there is a small piece of paper with the word ‘BANG’ encased in the very centre of the bath bomb. Fizzbanger is full of surprises and one that I’d buy again.
Fizzbanger’s scent was fresh and fruity, with ylang ylang in it.

Peeping Santa Bubbleroon

lush Peeping Santa Bubbleroon
Peeping Santa has the same texture as a bubble bar but what makes it a bubbleroon is the creamy, buttery bit in the middle. I can split this strawberry scented bubbleroon in to quarters and use 4 times to make bubbles in the bath.
I particular adore the chocolate chips he’s got for eyes, this just melted in the bath straight away. The bit in the middle is made of cocoa butter and shea butter so it gently moisturises your skin too!

Golden Wonder Bath Bomb

I’ve yet to use this but I’ve seen it in action before and it is wonderful! It’s a square shaped bath bomb that has been designed to look like a Christmas present. It’s very gold and very sparkly!
I was told by the lady behind the till that Golden Wonder takes 8 days to make because all the different takes time to set. It features cognac, sweet orange, and lime oils – and it creates glittery, turquoise water! Can’t wait to use it. I’m saving it ’til last.

Twilight Bath Bomb

lush Twilight Bath Bomb
This is quite a tame bath bomb, in my eyes. It’s a slow fizzing one which doesn’t create much drama in terms of colour and swirly “bath art” but it is nice and perfectly pleasant, nonetheless. Not sure if I would buy it again though.
It’s has a gentle, soothing scent to it (tonka, ylang ylang, and lavender) so it might be good for you if you need something to help you sleep better at night.

Luxury Lush Pud Bath Bomb

This is another favourite, year after year, it comes creeping back in to the Lush Christmas collection. When the bath bomb fizzes in the water, the circular bits floats away and creates patches of bright colours on top of the water’s surface. It’s so pretty!
It’s another relaxing scent with lavender oil with the sweetness coming from tonka absolute.

What have you bought from Lush lately, and did you manage to bag yourself any bargain bath bombs from their boxing day sale?
This might be the last Lush haul on my blog for quite a while now… for at least Spring! I always feel guilty when I buy too much from their shop.

  1. I love that Fizzbanger has a piece of paper inside with 'bang' written on! I live 10 minutes walk from a Lush store but because I was home for Christmas I couldn't head down to see if anything was left. Because my boyfriend tends to stay here maybe next year I'll give him a list and send him down! x
