What’s In Birchbox | December 2016
Birchbox* has hooked us up with some beauty products for the festive party season. It’s the last Birchbox of the year, and their Merry & Bright edition contains the usual quantity of 5 beauty products covering skincare, hair, and make-up.

Benefit Cosmetics // The POREfessional Matte Rescue Primer
There a deluxe sized sample of Benefit Cosmetic’s most recent primer from their best-selling POREfessional range. The POREfessional Matte Rescue is a gel formula which gives a matte finish. It is designed to absorb oil, and minimise the appearance of pores, as well as prepping your skin for a smooth, flawless finish and long-lasting make-up.

Ciate London // Fierce Flicks Eyeliner
I saw this on a blog a few weeks ago and wanted to check it out but I’ve not had the chance to check it out in the shops yet. Once my current eyeliner pen dries up, my plan was to buy this or Kat Von D‘s Tattoo Liner – both recommended by beauty bloggers as easy-to-use, pigmented, and long lasting. Thanks to Birchbox, I can hang fire on that purchase for a few months more. Yippeeee!

Bobbi Brown // Smokey Eye Mascara
Mascara doesn’t excite me (in all honestly, I tend to use the first one I pick out of my make-up bag) but I love that Birchbox have selected Bobbi Brown as one of the brands to include in the December’s box. This Smokey Eye Mascara lifts, lengthens, and plumps due to it’s tapered brush and kohl-pigmented formula.

Percy & Reed // Perfectly Perfecting Wonder Balm
I’ve received this in a previous beauty subscription box and it is nice hair balm that smooths down flyaways. As with all hair balm, you only need to use a small blob, otherwise it can make your hair feel and look really greasy, so this small tube may look small but it will last for approximately 10 blow dries (depending on the length of your hair).
dr. brandt // Pore Dermabrasion Exfoliator
My skin felt like it could benefit from an exfoliation, so I used this straight away. Infused with penetrating crystals, caviar lime extract and salicylic acid to deep clean, unclog and refine pores. The grains feel quite scratchy so if you’re using this too, be gentle! My skin felt great afterwards, I’m so happy with it. Out of all the products in this month’s Birchbox, this is the one I would consider repurchasing!

You can subscribe to Birchbox beauty subscription for £10 a month. You can cancel at anytime. If you’re new to beauty subscription boxes, have a look at all of the ones I’ve featured on my blog so far. Hope it helps you to decide which one to sign up to!
