It doesn’t feel right to be blogging about October’s Birchbox* in November but I spotted a sneak peek of Birchbox’s November edition today and I thought I’d catch up with their October box!
I think I’ve featured Birchbox every month for almost two years, so it’s almost like a monthly ritual now and if I miss a month, it will (probably) throw my blog out of kilter. Maybe THAT’S why I’ve felt a bit weird and distant from my blog lately? All I needed to do was to blog about Birchbox to make things right again!

Birchbox Star Sign Edition
ANYWAY… as the saying goes, better late than never. So here is what I received in October’s Birchbox (sorry it’s late!).
With the theme of Zodiac signs, I got an Air element box as I’m an Aquarius. Although if the new Nasa star signs are anything to go by, I may be a Capricorn now. Now that really would throw me off-kilter.
The Air edition contains 6 beauty products, 3 of which are full size, so let’s start with one of them.

Manefit Cucumber Soothing + Moisturizing Sheet Mask (full size), £1.99
As I mentioned in my last blogposts, I’ve got a small stash of sheet mask which I’ve been saving up. I will start dipping in to this stash as sheet masks are a lot more convenient than a regular potted face mask. All you need to do is put the sheet on to your face and remove after 20 mins, pat dry, and that’s it!
I love the packaging of this, the Koreans brands know how to design the best packaging to catch your eye.

Aromatherapy Associates Revive Body Gel (40ml), £25
I fell in love with this brand as soon as I saw it in Liberty. But then again, it’s hard not to fall for anything in Liberty when everything is presented so beautifully. I’m so pleased to receive a deluxe sized sample of Aromatherapy Associates Revive Body Gel. The blend of grapefruit, juniper berries and rosemary creates an uplifting fragrance.
Monu Rosewood Reviving Mist, £19.95
I’ve been using this after I’ve cleansed my face but before I’ve moisturised. I like how you can mist it on to your face and leave it to dry – which is just as well since I have run out of cotton pads. It’s a great one to use in the mornings to wake up your skin. It features rosewood to soothe, lemon to brighten, and sandalwood to nourish.

Number 4 Fluoro5 Elixer Restore and Repair Oil (14.8ml), £18
Don’t let the size fool you, this tiny bottle will last a long time because you’ll only need to use 2 or 3 drop of this at a time. Applied to towel dried hair before blowdrying, this puts shine and softness back in to your hair.
Lord & Berry Maxi Matte Crayon Lipstick (full size), £12
Lord & Berry lip products are great! I’ve tried loads from their range and haven’t been disappointed yet. This lipstick is in a shade called Intimacy, a very on-trend berry mauve with a matte finish. It’s not cakey and it doesn’t cling, you can use it to line your lips but also as a full lipstick. I wish it wasn’t in a pencil form because I don’t have a large pencil sharpeners. I should definitely invest in a good quality one, I know!

Birchbox Eyebrow Brush (full size), £1.99
To round it up, the sixth product is an eyebrow brush. I’d consider this more of a bonus product, but a very useful one! I don’t use them for my brows though, I use it to brush the mascara clumps out of my eyelashes and to seperate them with the comb side.
