Birchbox UK For September 2016
I am LOVING the pastel coloured box design this month! And hey, the pull-out drawer is back (first made an appearance in this funky palm tree printed design)! YESSSS! That means the pastel design is wrapped around the whole box so I can use the back of it for photographic backdrops!

This is another great edition from Birchbox which includes 5 beauty products. It’s an all-rounder this month as there’s something for hair, body, cosmetics, and skincare!

NUXE Prodigieux Shower Oil
I recently received a tube of this in last month’s Love Me Beauty and can confirm that it is a LOVELY shower oil. In the shower, the golden gel becomes an oil when in contact with skin. The scent is really nice and it leaves skin feeling clean and moisturised. As it’s a travel sized tube, I pack it in to my gym bag and use it post work out.
Laura Mercier Foundation Primer Blemish-Less
Very excited to see a Laura Mercier cosmetic product in Birchbox! I love this kind of formula when it comes to primers, it is a water-based gel that helps your make-up adhere longer throughout the day. An absolute must-have for occasions such as weddings, or any event where you’re not able to touch up your make-up throughout the day. It totally works as a primer, it preps to the skin nicely and controls shine. But I did wonder what the ‘blemish-less’ meant? Sometimes you’ve got to read between the lines with beauty product names.
I honestly don’t think it means that it has the ability to hide blemishes like some of the descriptions I’ve been reading. Firstly, it’s a transluscent cream, it might blur the appearance of tiny pores but it’s not going to hide anything as prominent as a blemish, sadly.
Due to high water content, this primer is designed for blemish-probed skin to prevent a breakout caused by make-up or perhaps to stop active blemishes from getting worse over other base products (BB creams, foundations, powders, etc).

ModelCo Highlighting Trio
Every subscriber will receive a full size ModelCo product (worth £14) this month. It will either by a Creme Rouge or this BEAUTIFUL Highlighting Trio. I particularly love the peach and gold shade, they go with my olive skin tone really well.

Amiga Bombshell Blowout Spray
I’m loving anything I can use on my hair pre-blowdry, especially when it’s described as lightweight, smoothing, and volumising. This one can also be used on dry hair so if you forget to add it beforehand, you can mist it over to help protect hair. The formula contains sea buckthorn berry oil to strength your locks and repair damage.
STARSKIN Eye Catcher
I’ve used sheet masks many times before but never eye masks like this. There’s always a first for everything! It sounds like I might have to save Eye Catcher to use after a loooong day as this refreshing coconut-juice, bio-cellulose eye mask treatment promises to brighten, smooth, and de-puff. Full retail price is £8.50 for two pairs of eye masks so it’s kind of pricey to buy so it’s nice to be able to trial via Birchbox.

To sign up to Birchbox, head over to their website to subscribe. It cost £10 per month (plus £2.95) to receive 5-6 beauty products. You can cancel at any time.
