No, I’ve not had a baby, you guys. This is my niece, Edie! ?
As the month draws closer to an end, I’ve starting to reflect on what I’ve been up to in August. And that would be a whooooole lotta nothin’! Well, not NOTHING but I haven’t done anything interesting and I’ve not been on holiday or anything.

The month started off quiet and then work-wise, things started to amp up. I wasn’t expecting it as it’s always fairly chilled at this time of year, but I’m happy that my agenda is filling up with jobs. I can’t complain, I’m the happiest when I’m non-stop busy!

I did, however, take last Monday off to spend a day at the beach with my family. Monday is the only day of the week that my parent’s have off work, and they had a fun filled day planned at Bridlington in Yorkshire. Plus, I hadn’t seen my 4 month old niece for weeks so I couldn’t pass on this opportunity! She’s soooooooooooooooooooo CUTE!!!!!!! She has so much character and personality already!

We did the usual thing – walking along the sea front, exploring the shops, eating fish and chips, and laid on the beach with a picnic and ice-cream (I went for the candyfloss flavour).

It was a very lovely day and I loved putting my camera to use in capturing precious memories. It reminds me to spend more quality time with the people that I love, and that sometimes, work can take a back seat. Nothing is more important than family.
