Every skincare expert will tell you that overloading your skin with a huge amount of products is not going to be good for you. And as a beauty blogger, I can certainly vouch for that. With an influx of skincare sent to my door over Winter (to help me get rid off that grey, dull complexion – probably!), my overexcited self couldn’t help but to try everything.

PAI SKINCARE | FORMULATED WITH SENSITIVE SKIN IN MIND
I didn’t feel like I had much use for this little box of products at the time it arrived months ago, but I knew that I would need it at some point so I kept it to one side. Quite the self-control if you ask me considering how temptingly pretty the packaging is, you’d think I’d want to rip in to it and get stuck in!
You see, Pai is formulated with sensitive, highly reactive, and acne-prone skin in mind, and that isn’t something I (usually) have a concern with. After leaving my skin alone (not using any skincare on it, wearing little make-up and minimising hand contact) for about ten days to help it ‘reset’, I opened this very beautifully designed box* to find 3 travel sized bottles; A cleanser, toner and moisturiser.
I needed calm and I needed balance, and this is exactly what my skin got after using tiny amounts of Pai skincare in 3 simple steps.
Pai to the rescue!

Step 1
Pai Camellia & Rose Gentle Hydrating Cleanser
This cream based, alcohol-free cleanser is suitable for sensitive, dry skin which is good for me at the moment because my skin is sensitive, dry and a little scaly around the chin area (overshare?). Cream cleansers which you wipe off with a cloth are my favourite, as the cream softens your skin while the cloth exfoliates the dead skin cells.
This also doubles up as a gentle make-up remover so you don’t have to use yet another product on your skin prior to cleansing. I think the main things to remember here is to keep the routine simple when you experience a flare-up! The less you use, the better.
Camellia & Rose Gentle Hydrating Cleanser features Omegas 6 and 9, and Vitamin E to keep skin look youthful and radiant.

Step 2
Rice Plant & Rosemary Bioafinity Tonic
Enriched with vitamin, mineral and amino-acid, this toner helped to soothe my skin. I have only recently introduced toner back into my routine as I was on the search for one that suited my skin type the best.
Pai’s Rice Plant & Rosemary Bioafinity Tonic is an 100% alcohol-free formula so that it doesn’t strip your skin of it’s natural oils.
It comes in a spritz spray bottle so that you don’t have to use your hands or cotton pad (with potential, invisible contamination) when your pores are open from step 1. Simply mist the tonic lightly over your face and let it completely dry before applying moisturiser.
Step 3
Geranium & Thistle Rebalancing Day Cream
I’ve been using this day AND night – just to keep things simple and straight-forward while my skin goes through a bit of a bad patch. This cream is best suited for combination or oily skin, which mine isn’t but it’s the one that came with this gift set. I think I would’ve liked a hydrating moisturiser for dry skin to match the cleanser – but we’ll go with it. The gift set was put together by Pai’s skin experts after all.
This face moisturiser is non-comedogenic which means it will not clog your pores (great for those who are prone to acne), and it has a matte finish. The formula helps to calm skin that is stressed and unsettled to give a healthier, brighter complexion.

Although this limited edition gift set is no longer available, Pai gift sets might come back soon! Currently, there are travel sets and full size products on their website.
Pai does not test on animals and is Soil Association certified to meet organic standards. There are no parabens (artificial preservatives) or any other nasty chemicals, so the three products included in this gift set have to be used within 6 months of opening.

I love Pai products. I use their Rosehip oil everyday and it has reduced breakouts.
