MAC Blush in Desert Rose (With Swatch) | Beauty Review

MAC describes the Desert Rose powder blush as a soft reddish-burgundy. Yes, it’s got a reddish tone but I wouldn’t have thought to call it a burgundy shade….Would you?! I don’t know about you but I would consider it a dusty, dirty rose pink. It looks really pretty in the pan and every prettier on skin.

MAC DESERT ROSE | BEAUTY REVIEW

When it comes to MAC blushes (or any MAC product, in fact) my budget doesn’t stretch that far for me to be experimental with perhaps a more vibrant blush or that deep purple lipstick I’ve been wanting to try for ages, so therefore, I like to choose colours that I can get the most out of, the ones that are suitable to wear on a daily basis.
MAC Desert Rose Blush review
When I buy something from their range, I want something wearable, a shade that I can get the absolute most out of. And Desert Rose (£16.99 from Fragrance Direct) is exactly what that is. Whether you’re new to make-up or you simply want a everyday blush, Desert Rose is the one. It will suit all skin tones, even those with pale skin.

The powder blush is a matte finish goes on really subtle and sheer but like all of MAC’s blushers, the pigmented colour is buildable which is just as well because I like to be heavy-handed on blush so that the colour lasts longer throughout the day!

Sweep lightly because MAC products are pigmented, a few sweep and you’ll get a natural flush of colour. The swatch below shows 3 layers of the blush which when it has been blended, leaves you with beautiful flush of dark pink on your cheeks.

You can buy a selection of MAC make-up on Fragrance Direct where they’re £1-£2 cheaper than high street stockists.

This is ever such a pretty shade. I'm the same with splashing out on more expensive products, I much prefer to invest in shades I know I'll get plenty of wear out of 🙂

That's such a beautiful blusher, it looks similar to Mac Posey which is one of my favourites but cream form! Such a natural pinched cheek look!

Lovely colour! I'm always so stuck for choice when it comes to MAC counters and like you, I don't want to waste my hard-earned money! This looks great though x

This is so pretty and such a stunning color. I need to pick up a Mac blush since I don't have one.
