Beauty Event: The Avon Beauty Bus
A couple of weeks ago, I was invited to pop by Avon’s latest event which showcased some of their Christmas and S/S16 range. And when they told me that it would be a bus, I was really intrigued and couldn’t wait to find out more.

I waddled towards Oxford Circus after work – and I literally waddled since everyone on Oxford Street doesn’t seem to be in a hurry to get anywhere. When I eventually found the Avon Beauty Bus, I was happy to see how lovely it was kitted out. Lots of pink balloons, sparkly Christmas baubles, twinkly fairy lights, a festive fireplace surrounded by stocking fillers, and lots of pretty make-up and beauty products dotted all over.
Avon did a great job in making it look pretty, and even though it was a small space, I thought it was less daunting than a fancy showroom. It had a cosy feel to it and I enjoyed looking around.
Liz Pugh, make-up artist for the celebs such as Alexa Chung and Adele, was there to give us a make-over or to show us how to use any of the make-up. The shimmer bronzers are beautiful as are the Perfectly Matte lipsticks – they’re creamy and pigmented. It packs a punch and I know that’s what you girls love in a lipstick. I prefer them slightly sheer but I’m partial to a rich, creamy lippy especially at this time of year (um, hello, get some colour on my pale skin right now please!)
On to skincare (now we’re talkin’!). I was introduced to Avon’s Nutra Effects which has three range; Balance (for combination/oily skin) Hydration (for normal/dry skin), Radiance (normal/combination skin) Ageless (for younger looking skin). There’s something for everyone!
There was a nail artist at the event to give your hands and nails a bit of a pamper! There was a nice range of fashionable colours from blues to yellows, greens to purples. I also spotted a few sparkly nail polishes which Avon have called Liquid Sequin – which is very apt for this time of year!

I haven't used Avon products since I used to get some ordered by my mum, years ago. My first eyeshadow was from Avon. She loved their skincare as well, and it's interesting seeing their new collection.
That cute little fox purse reminds me of the fox bag back when I first came across your blog. I'm still annoyed I missed out on getting one.
