Birchbox October 2015
I hope I’m not too late to blog about this but I think there’s just enough time to buy this box if anyone fancies it! Birchbox* are offering two options this month and subscribers can choose which one they want. If there’s still time, here’s what inside both boxes to help you choose which one to go for.

The Guest Editor Stylist Edition

Birchbox October 2015
Birchbox and Stylist have worked together to curate the Guest Editor edition. Joanna McGarry, Stylist’s Associate Beauty Editor tells Birchbox –
“Beauty is all about the joy of discovery and here at Stylist, we’ve long been fans of how effortlessly Birchbox is able to bring that discovery to life for women everywhere. So, it was a thrill to collaborate with Birchbox for this very special limited edition box of amazing, hard-working beauty heroes. Some of which you may know of and adore, others will be a new find, but all are wholeheartedly Stylist approved.”
With that in mind, below is what’s inside the Guest Editor box which contains six beauty samples:

Birchbox October 2015
Parlour by Jeff Chastain
This Smoothing Blowout Spray is somewhat of a cult product for getting rid of frizz and making hair more manageable. I’ve never heard of this brand before but if Stylist says it’s a cult product, I am certainly not going to argue with that! I’ve actually had my hair cut really short about two weeks ago, so I’m still getting used to it. There isn’t much I can actually do with it other than curl it, but I’m using more products than ever to achieve the right look. And as I’m using heat appliances a lot more, anything with a heat protector is an absolute essential. Can’t wait to use this!
Bioderma Sensibio H20
I know for sure that Bioderma is a cult beauty classic 😉 And having said that, I have never tried it before! So thank to Birchbox and Stylist, I’m getting a chance to discover this super popular and original micellar water!
100% Pure Fruit Pigmented Lip Glaze
The way that this is packaged, I keep thinking it’s a perfume roll-on. It is actually a lip product, formulated with avocado, cocoa butters and rich fruit pigments. I love how it’s been packaged!
English Laundry Perfume
With a fragrance of rose geranium and creamy white flowers to create an uplifting, clean linen, ‘English Laundry’ smell. It’s a dreamy fragrance and it somehow reminds me of The Secret Garden, for some reason!?
When Travelmate Sheet Mask
The Guest Editor box also contains one sheet mask. I can’t wait to use this, I am really in to sheet masks at the moment, mainly for the convenience factor. This one is meant to be refreshing, and locks in moisture post long-haul flight or a day in the sun. It softens skins and helps undo any damage.

BACK TO BASICS

Birchbox October 2015
I love the idea behind the Back To Basics box and Birchbox have got it bang on. It’s a simple, chic, and no-fuss-no-muss type of box. It contains versions of some daily essentials from brands that you probably don’t come across everyday.
Bioderma Hydrobio H20
This is dry-skin-friendly and gently cleanses while it locks in moisture. I am looking forward to using both of the Bioderma cleansing waters in both of this month’s Birchbox!
Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat
I am LOVING this top coat which gives a super glossy, plump appearance to your nails. It dries within 20-30 seconds and seals in your nail polish to protect them from chipping. It does have a very strong smell to it though.
Regenerate Enamel Science Advanced Toothpaste
I got this in the Birthday Birchbox so I’m already using this toothpaste. It’s a nice change to receive a toothpaste to try. This ones works to reverse the early invisible signs of enamel erosion process, as well as protecting against cavities and boosting whiteness.
Eyeko Fat Liquid Eyeliner Pen
Eyeliner pens are so convenient but I find that they don’t last very long on my eyelids. I have strange eyelids where the skin overlaps and eyeliner always transfers. Even when it says it’s smudge-proof. Nothing will ever beat Benefit’s Push-Up Gel Liner but I am always looking for an alternative, especially if it’s slightly cheaper in price!
Beaver Professional Hydro Nutrive Moisturising Shampoo

With ingredients such as avocado oil and aloe vera, this shampoo helps to repair damaged hair. Even though my hair has just been freshly cut, there are huge parts that are quite straggly and brittle. I can’t wait to see if this shampoo works to repair, my hair certainly needs fixing after all that DIY dye jobs I’ve put my barnet through!
If you’re a Birchbox subscriber, which edition have you gone for? And if you’re new to the beauty box, which one has tempted you this month? The Guest Editor or Back To Basics?
Sign up to BIRCHBOX here. It’s only £10 per month, plus £2.95 for postage and packaging.
