Having visited Paris twice now, I am confident in saying that I would travel to Paris a thousand times more! It really is everything you’d expect it to be – beautiful architecture, wonderful food, amazing sights and an air filled with romance. There is so much to do in Paris and so much to see! There’s something really special about it and I think everyone should experience it once in their lives. Which is why I want to tell you about a really amazing opportunity to win a weekend in Paris… but more on that later! (Or you can scroll right to the bottom of this post, if you can’t wait! And I don’t blame you, I’d love a all expenses paid-for weekend to Paris! Yes, please!)
Apart from the photograph I took (above) which is of the beautiful Arc De Triomphe, I don’t really have that many photos to share with you because at the time of visiting Paris, I wasn’t all that in to cameras and photography the way that I am today. Sadly, I don’t have any other photos of my holiday in France, at least nothing
blog-worthy, anyway. Digital cameras had just come about but due to inexperience, I didn’t use it much. Back then, I was more about live-in-the-moment kinda gal rather than the annoying stop-and-capture-everything-for-social-media type of person that I have become. I know, I am so totally annoying. Social media was also not a big thing back then either but I kind of wish we had Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Snapchat back then. If we did, I would have probably captured a lot of awesome memories and I would have been able to look back on my holiday memories today. Ah well!
But, thanks to Pinterest, I can reminisce about my trip and compile a series of photos to show you the beauty that is Paris and what the top things are to do there!
Eiffel Tower

If you’re thinking of visiting Paris, going to the Eiffel Tower is probably right at the top of your list! I don’t care what anyone says, I think the Eiffel Tower is breathtaking. You can’t go to Paris and NOT visit one of the most iconic sights in the world! It looks so pretty lit up at night too.
Bar La Vue at Hyatt Regency Paris Etoile
The Concorde Lafayette was the hotel I stayed at the first time I went to Paris. It is now called Hyatt Regency and it’s a skyscraper hotel. There aren’t that many tall building in Paris so this hotel sticks like a sore thumb. You can see the hotel from the top of the Eiffel Tower, which means… You can see the Eiffel Tower from the hotel! Bar La Vue is on the top floor of the hotel, it’s an absolutely stunning bar with a panoramic view of Paris. It is the place I always recommend people to go if they are ever in Paris. The view at night is just out-of-this-world beautiful, it’s so surreal. The drinks, of course, are pretty pricy – but they are also very strong, you might be able to stomach the one cocktail!
Sephora
Every beauty junkie needs to stop off at Sephora, even if it’s for a quick twenty minutes! It’s probably a good idea to have a quick browse otherwise you might risk burning a big hole in your pocket! I mean, it’s not too naughty to buy a few beauty treats, right? Let’s call it a souvenir! You’ve got to treat yourself to a souvenir (or five!).
Galeries Lafayette
If you want to go to a department store with a difference, then you need to pop in to Galeries Lafayette. It reminds me of Harrods in the sense that it’s very grand, and there’s beautiful details wherever you look. I think that even those who don’t like to spend time shopping will really enjoy being there to soak in the atmosphere.
The Louvre
The obvious thing to do is to go to The Louvre and see some art, but it’s also nice to spend time sitting around this area and just people-watch. Also, it’s a total hot spot for outfit photos if you’re a fashion blogger!
So, how about that chance to win a weekend to Paris? I’m not allowed to enter, but you guys definitely should! You’ve got nothing to lose! Paris is truly one of the prettiest cities in the world and if you’d like a chance to win a weekend to Paris, with hotel, flights and a michelin star dinner included, head over to enter the
#PerfectParis2015 competition* and follow the instructions but all you have to do is share a hashtag on social media! All of the instructions and T&Cs are on that webpage. The closing date is 31st October and I do hope it’s one of my LOVELY readers that win it! Good luck and I have my fingers crossed for you!
