Another day, another candle! Four to be precise! Now that the cold nights are drawing in, the candles are coming out. On a miserable, rainy day, all I want is light a couple of candles, curl up under the duvet and watch Netflix. I was gifted a set from Linea – they must’ve known I am obsessed with candles, not sure what gave them that idea…. it’s not like I blog about candles often (lol). I mean, I do my candles, not going to lie!

Linea Candles Gift Set* from House Of Fraser, £16 (NOW £8)
I am hundreds of miles from home and I don’t have the things that comfort me. But one thing that does make me feel more homely are candles. My room in London is a grotty, cold and bland, so something as small as a candle (or 4) can make the world of difference. Well, I don’t know about you but makes a big different to me anyway. In the Summer, it’s a bouquet of flowers and in Autumn, it’s candles. It’s funny how small things like this can make you feel better in an instant.

These candles from the Linea home range come a gift set and in assortment of fragrances. They scent pay-off isn’t as strong as the other candles I’ve burnt in the past but they are lovely candles all the same! There’s often a sale on home fragrances (like, right now!) so it’s worth having a browse and see what bargains to snap up. Maybe, if you’re super organised, you can pick a couple of gift sets out as Christmas presents!
Pink Grapefruit and Mango
This is a favourite of mine. Last Christmas, I bought my Mum, Grandma and cousins a box of the Pink Grapefruit and Mango reed diffuser and it was a hit. It’s a tangy, fruity, exotic, sweet scent – the mango comes through more than the pink grapefruit and it is more of a summer scent but that doesn’t really matter, I burn all kinds of candles all year round.
Linen and Seagrass
It’s hard to describe the scent of Linen and Seagrass, I don’t know what the linen or seagrass smell like! It is a bit like fresh air on a Spring morning, it’s that clean, green, and crisp scent.
Wild Fig and Vanilla
This is the most seasonal-appropriate candle of the lot. Usually, fig scented products are quite sweet but this one has a slightly woody edge to it. The fig notes are sweetened with soft vanilla and apricot to create a warming scent. Perfect for Autumn!
Lemongrass and Fresh Ginger
A very exotic scented candle with warm, spicy notes of ginger, which I love! This is a lovely fragrance that reminds me of being in Thailand many years ago! (And it’s making me want to book a one way trip to Thailand right now!) This candle is inspired by sunny Mediterranean gardens. Refreshing and aromatic!
It’s a lovely gift set and is only £8 at the moment. £8 for 4 candles ain’t bad at all, right?
Which scent do you fancy?
