How To Style: Denim Dungarees Playsuit
Woooop! Another Sunday outfit post! Since I decided to filter personal style posts back into my blog, I’ve been scheduling them to go live for the past 4 Sundays. I’ve really enjoyed getting back in to
outfits and style blogging, it has got me out of my style rut, if anything!
But all of that might be put on hold (again) as I’m moving to London tomorrow! More on this soon, but you might remember a few months ago when I wrote this blogpost about
wanting to make some changes in my life. Well, I found something temporary and I’m going to be living in London for a few months. Very exciting! But lets talk about the outfit first! Talk about a throwback denim!…
These outfit photos were taken last week when temperatures reached 33C to 35C. We went to the local park, found shade under the bandstand and had a spot of lunch before faffing about with these photos.
The heat actually only lasted a couple of days (at least up north, anyway) so it’s nice to get a chance to enjoy it. It has been humid but it has also been blustery, wet and grey… but that’s only to be expected! Not quite the weather for a Summer barbecue!
My outfit here made me feel really young – that’s not always a bad thing! I wasn’t sure about
denim dungarees at first and I suppose I’m still uncertain as to what I think!
Inspired by how they styled it on the ASOS website, I layered the denim dungarees with an
oversized bohemian top. I was going for a festival Alexa Chung vibe but instead of feeling uber cool, it made me feel like a 11 year old which was probably the last time I actually wore denim dungarees! This outfit is a proper throwback!
Still, they’re comfy to wear on a hot day because they’re quite slack and I do love to layer up! What do you guys think of denim dungarees?
So, as I mentioned, it might be a while until my next
outfit post! 🙁 I’m quite sad about that because I was getting back in to it and it made me remember what blogging was like when I first started. But I’m going to make the most of my exciting new surroundings and I’m sure that living in London for the rest of the summer is going to bring fresh new content to my blog!
More on my move to London in tomorrow’s blogpost!
Ah these pictures are gorgeous! Loving the bag!

I love dungarees, I'm even wearing some in my latest blog post. The top you're wearing really sets the outfit off nicely.
Congrats and good luck on going to London for a few months!

I have wanted dungarees for so long (I had some in the 80's) I find this length a little short for me but Im on the look out for some longer ones. I love the boho top you have on underneath & converse are always a winner. You look super cute!

I love denim dungarees! I might wear a crop under it 🙂 I'm not really that comfortable wearing crops but I love how they look, and I think wearing denim dungarees over them would be a comfortable amount of coverage for me 😀 Good luck on your move! This is so exciting!! -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey's
I think they're pretty cute if and when styled right! x

I love the overall shorts! They remind of the early 90s in a good way. I think the way you styled them is really cute with the peasant top and white sneakers. It looks really comfortable too!

I love how you styled yours. I'm still annoyed at myself for giving mine away a few years ago only for them to come back into fashion.

This outfit is so cute! I love my denim dungaree shorts 🙂 I love how you've made the look super girly as I think dungarees are quite a boyish outfit in general but I just love how you've styled them 🙂

They look amazing on you. Wish I was still young enough to wear them, alas I'm on the wrong side of 30. Otherwise I so would!! X
Safe move you absolute babe!

Such a cute outfit! Congrats on your London move, saw your news on twitter the other day! <3
They look so cute on you! Though, the only thing I can think about is how you go to the bathroom with one of these on. o_O
We call them overalls here, hehe. Dungarees sound a lot cuter though! I've been searching for a perfect pair but no luck so far ;( I love how you styled it with the top though, the crochet and ties adds an unexpected touch to the outfit.
