I’m a real big fan of They’re Real mascara and eyeliner from Benefit Cosmetics. The Push-Up Eyeliner Gel Pen is one of my beauty staples because of how of it’s deep pigment and budge-proof formula. Now they’ve launched them in colour!
Benefit’s They’re Real: Now In Colour!
Now, I’ve never really been that keen on coloured eyeliner and mascaras but when the new offering from Benefit arrived through the post, I decided to give it a go! I was worried that it might be too bright and if it was, I knew I wouldn’t like it. BUT… both of the colours I received weren’t too vibrant so I was able to make it work with my usual make-up.
I can’t say for the other new colours that are available but in the Push-Up Gel Liner, I got it in Beyond Green and in the mascara, I got it in Beyond Brown and they’re both are quite muted colours against my olive-toned skin. The formula for the new colours are the same as the original.
I don’t think that a brown mascara is anything out of the ordinary and as my lashes are extremely black so the mascara didn’t come up the bold. If you wanted to try something really different though, there is a blue mascara available! I’m not daring enough to try a blue mascara but it does look quite fun!
The green eyeliner makes a very nice change to my usual black. It doesn’t define my eyes the way a black eyeliner does but it’s such a quick way to add a bit of colour. As you can see from the swatch below, it’s a pretty emerald green and I’m happy the way the green actually complements my skin! They’re Real Push-Up Eyeliner also comes in brown, blue and purple.
The new They’re Real products are available from Benefit website and Benefit beauty counters. They mascara retails at £19.50 and the eyeliner is priced at £18.50.

I'm also not too keen on coloured eyeliners or mascaras, but it's good to know there are some good options now if I ever do get the urge. Could also be good for Halloween I suppose aha!

I went to an event at the weekend where I got to try the coloured mascaras. Surrisingly I absolutely loved them… I wouldn't have thought I would, but they really make your eyes look amazing

Never been one to look at the colours. I have always stuck to black mascara and eyeliner. BUT I really want to try the purple eyeliner from this collection!
