No Birchbox for me this month, but instead, I’ve reacquainted with Love Me Beauty! You may remember some of my previous Love Me Beauty blogposts but if not, Love Me Beauty is the one where you can pick the contents yourself.
LMB bridges that gap for people who have flirted with the thought of subscribing to these kind of beauty sample boxes but don’t fancy the surprise element of it. It cost £10 per month (plus £3.95 postage and packaging) and you can either select the products yourself from a monthly menu, or receive the recommended products chosen by LMB’s beauty consultants. And here’s a discount code for 20% off for you to use for your order: tempsec20
In the past, I have always chosen which items I want from a menu but this month, I left it in the hands of Love Me Beauty and here’s what I received in May 2015 edition:

Mirenesse Mattfinity Lip Rouge (shade: Rome 02)
This is a rich matte lip colour that promises to deliver infinite wear and tattoo-like staying power. I received it in shade Rome 02 which is like a rose beige, similar to MAC’s Velvet Teddy. I knew it wouldn’t suit me but I tried it on my lips to see if I could pull off the Kylie Jenner look. The colour and the formula is nice enough but I had to take it off after 2 minutes because the shade doesn’t suit me at all but my sister is going to LOVE it so she can have this. (RRP: £23.97)
Nails Inc. Bruton Lane
I really like this shade, Bruton Lane is a pastel peach. It is labelled on the packaging as ‘NEW trend shade’ but it’s from the Summer 2014 collection and I’m not sure if it’s available to buy anymore as I can’t find it on retail sites, and it’s Nails Inc. old style bottles. Formula-wise, I find the first coat really streaky and difficult to apply but it smooths out on the second and third layer and then glosses over with a top coat. A really pretty shade for Spring/Summer! (RRP: approx £12)
Models Co Cheek and Lips Creme Rouge
I’m loving cheek tints lately so was pleased to see this in the box. The Cheek and Lips Creme Rouge is one of Models Co’s best selling products. It’s a great versatile make up product for a flush of colour and radiance on your cheek, and a light, subtle tint on your lips. (RRP: £14)
Models Co Power Lash Black Mascara
Another Models Co product! I’ve been going through mascaras pretty quickly lately so this was a welcome addition. I don’t think it’s waterproof, but it does coat on to lashes quick thick and adds a great amount of volume. There was a bit of imperfection on the wand but I fixed it by giving it a snip! (RRP: £24)
MALIN + GOETZ Grapefuit Face Cleanser
I’ve chosen this product in a previous Love Me Beauty box in October. I didn’t realise it was a foaming cleanser but it isn’t too bad. It cleanses without stripping, and because it’s a sample size, I’ll save it for travelling! (Full size RRP: £27)

Love Me Beauty cost £10 per month, plus £3.95 p&p.
Don’t forget that you can get 20% off your order with discount code tempsec20

I like Birchbox but I think I'd prefer if I knew what I was getting, so maybe I'll have to swap to this box. The nails inc colour looks lovely!
