We’re getting close to the half point of 2015, how scary is that!? It doesn’t seem that long ago since it was Christmas so I can’t quite get my head round that we are now in the month of May. How did that happen?!….
To try and process how fast the time is going, I am going to look back on the last couple of months. I still have plans to move away for a while, if only for 6 months, just to test myself – if not straight away then at some point (I just need to sort my life out!!!!) but I’ve taken on some freelance projects that I need to focus on for the next 4 weeks. I haven’t been concentrating on my work for the past 2 months, I’ve been really distracted lately wishing I was somewhere else, but what I need to  do right now is crack on and get things ticked off my to-do list. Work aside, I’ve been feeling a bit more uplifted and I’m pretty sure the weather has something to do with it. I was feeling soooo miserable towards the end of Winter, I just wanted to stay in bed the whole time!
At the end of March, I had both Oscar and Bonnie stay with me for a week. Having the pets stay with me is always a joy! Bonnie made me more active too, I kept to the routine that she is used to and I enjoyed our walks together!
The start of April, during Easter, saw a trip to Newcastle. My sister and I caught the train and spent the day walking around the city. We ended up at The Botanist for tea, had some fruity mocktails and some nibbles before heading home. I don’t think the food is anything spectacular but their cocktails are delicious, I highly recommend them! I also really like the atmosphere and decor in there, it just feels so welcoming and comfortable.
I also took a flying visit to London for a meeting and for the first time ever, I wasn’t nervous about finding my way around the various places I need to be. I’ve been to London on my own so many times but I just felt extra prepared this time! I’m not good with directions or reading maps, but I used the street view on Google Map and walked myself through the streets, noting down all the shops or landmarks that I need to walk past. I literally studied the area to make sure I wouldn’t get lost! Does anyone else do the same?! Thank God for Google Street View!
Anyway! I’m looking forward to the next few weeks completing some projects and feeling a sense of achievement!
What have you guys been up to lately?

  1. Hey Sarah!
I'm also really bad really bad with directions. It drives my husband crazy :). So don't worry you're not alone.
I had a lot of things to do at work but went to Paris for a few days to relax and discover the city. I've changed hairstyle and tried something new.
My dog ate my favorite boots and I'm trying to write more often for my blog.
I love your blog and it's a pleasure to read your post.

  2. January and February passed in a blur of normality. March was a manic month of Birthday's, including my own and lots of spending. April saw me fly to my dream destination… New York! I'm sure May will pass rather quickly along with the rest of the year and it'll soon be Christmas, again. xx

  3. Your instagram is dreamy, Sarah! I like how you maintain a similar look throughout, it's so pretty.

I'm particularly partial to photos of Bonnie!
