3 Must-Try Beauty Products From Philosophy

I treat myself to something from Philosophy every Christmas when the gift sets are on offer, it has become a personal tradition so this means that although I’ve tried a lot of things from Philosophy throughout the years, it is usually limited to festive scented products.
Philosophy have really paved the way for the gourmand beauty products, which has lead to dupes and imitations from more affordable brands. Recently, I was sent three (technically, it’s four) Philosophy products from John Lewis which I was more the keen to try!

philosophy fresh cream shower gel
£19.50

This smells DELICIOUS! I know it’s supposed to smell like fresh cream but it smells more like buttercream with plenty of icing sugar and vanilla extract! It’s fragrance is authentic unlike the cheaper supermarket imitations with it’s blatantly artificialness.
You can use this as a shampoo, shower gel and bubble bath. I’ve yet to try it as a shampoo, – I’m a bit dubious of the cleansing qualities, but I daren’t experiment at the moment because my hair is really dry and damaged at the moment, it needs something that is certain to have nourishing and repairing properties. As a shower gel and bubble bath, it really is indulgent. A little goes a long way and I find that these 480ml bottles lasts for several months.

Fresh Cream Eau De Toilette Fragrance*
£34.00
I can not tell you how much I LOVE this Fresh Cream Eau De Toilette spray! It is the ultimate gourmand fragrance and I can’t stop smelling it! It is a sweet scent but surprisingly, it isn’t too sickly. It’s pretty delicate and spritzed out quite sparsely. It smells like plain fairy cakes fresh out of the oven. It transfers well as a perfume and it dries in to a subtle sweet vanilla.

The Microdelivery Peel*
£59.50
Whilst I absolutely adore Philosophy bath and body products, I don’t tend to associate the brand with skincare, I’m just not familiar with it.
When I was told about The Microdelivery Peel, I was intrigued because it sounded unique and it promised immediate results. After the first use, it certainly didn’t disappointment! My skin felt AMAZING, brighter, clearer, plumper and oh-so smooth, I couldn’t stop touching it afterwards. I’ll definitely be repurchasing this again and again! It works wonders!

This comes as a set as it is a 2-phase product, you get a tub of Bicarbonate Vitamin C Crystal scrub and a bottle of Activator Gel. The first step is to gently massage a generous amount of the Bicarbonate Vitamin C Crystal Scrub in to your face for 1 minute. Then you slather the Activator Gel over it and leave it on your skin for 2 minutes before rinsing it off.
You’ll be totally amazed by the results, they are noticeable after the first use. It’s lightly exfoliates and rejuvenates the surface of the skin. There are properties in this two step product which evens your skintone and keeps your pores clean. It isn’t suitable for those with sensitive skin, but I highly recommend this if you have a normal skin type.
It’s really super important to apply SPF after using this for up to two weeks. The ingredients in this two-step peel will make your skin photo sensitive, it is vital to use SPF to protect your skin.

Have you tried anything from Philosophy lately? Do any of these tickle your fancy?

  1. I'm like you, I love treating myself to some Philosophy products after Christmas, there's always tons of gift sets left over that go into the sales! It's such a great brand and everything always smells so good! I'm loving the sound of the Fresh cream scent, I mean who doesn't want to smell like a fairy cake? Sign me up! The Micodelivery Peel sounds really interesting, especially for oily skin, I might have to investigate!
