Ted Baker Residence Home Fragrance Collection*
I get something new for the home once or twice a month, and this month starts off with a set from the Ted Baker Residence Home Collection. There are six fragrances inspired by Ted Baker’s favourite cities, each available in the form of candle and a reed diffuser. I was kindly offered to pick something so I chose the Miami set.
Although every single fragrance looks and sounds amazing, there are two things that made me pick Miami almost straight away. I LOVE the pink flamingo on the packaging, and I really like that it’s hot pink. I’m currently painting all the furniture in my flat white, so I am after bold homeware and accessories that would spruce up the stark white tables. I loved the packaging of Ted Baker’s Miami so much that I didn’t care what the candle and reed diffuser smelt like, I didn’t even check. I just went straight for the pink flamingo!
Luckily, when the parcel arrived, I was glad to learn that the fragrance of Miami is actually really nice! With notes of star apple and passionfruit, you can imagine how fruity, tart and zingy it smells. It a lovely warm yet juicy scent which, coupled with the vibe of the packaging, somehow reminds you of the sunshine (oh hey, what’s that like?! I’ve forgotten what it feels like to be WARM!!)
Here’s the blurb for Ted Baker’s Miami fragrance:
“When flocking together in the Florida Keys, the tall and graceful flamingos magnificent displays of colour offer a potent spectacle. Named after the blazking pink and crimson colour of the sunset sky, it’s beautiful plumage has inspired this juicy cocktail of sweet star apple and luscious passionfruit. Infused with flamboyant zest, it’s a fragrance that is, quite simple, tickled pink”

Ted Baker Miami Candle*, £28
Inside the bright pink cardboard packaging is a candle in a beautiful, textured, hand-finished ceramic vessel. It is completely different to any other candle I have ever owned (and I have got A LOT of candles!).
On the front of the vessel is the amazing pink flamingo and a mock wax seal, and the other side is plain so you have the choice of showing the branding or keeping it minimal. It will be nice to use this as a make-up brush jar when the candle has burned out. The candle is made of 70% mineral wax and 30% soya wax and will burn up to 60 hours in total.

Ted Baker Miami Scented Reed Diffuser*, £35
I’m liking reed diffusers more and more, I may even be favouring them more than candles… maybe! It obviously doesn’t add the “ambience” of a candle but you get the constant fragrance in the air without the risk of burning your house down!! I’ve placed this Miami reed diffuser in my hallway and you get a whiff of star apple and passionfruit as soon as you walk in to the flat – it’s lovely! A really welcoming fragrance!
The special thing about the Ted Baker reed diffuser sets is that it comes in the same ceramic vessel design as the candles, and can be re-used afterwards as a vase. It makes a difference from the glass packaging because sometimes, the oils can go yellow and that doesn’t look good! Another way that Ted Baker has prevented that from happening is by allowing the customer to pour as much oil as they want in to the jar. The oil comes in separate bottle so you can pour as much as you want, whenever you want. This allows you to control when you actually want to use the reed diffuser, and when you want the room to smell like Miami.
Other scents in the Ted Baker Residence collection are: New York (cedarwood and vanilla), London (wild rose and english leather), Athens (fig and olive blossom), Sydney (ocean and sea salt), Toyko (green tea and bamboo). Shop the full collection here, or check them out at John Lewis or House of Frasers.

These sound lovely & look cute too (always important). I would have totally picked these too – that flamingo is Kitsch, right up my street. I like to have diffusers in my house, I think they're a nice way to scent rooms.
