GHD Straighteners Rose Gold Limited Edition

If there’s one product that I am totally grateful for, it’s certainly hair straighteners! Specifically GHD’s! In early 2000’s, I bought my first pair of GHD Hair Straighteners when I was a teenager still in Secondary School so appearance was a big deal for me. When I finally owned the best hair straighteners in the world, I was so excited because GHD gave me confidence in knowing that my hair would always be smooth, glossy, straight and manageable. No more annoying frizz, embarrassing kinks and pesky flyaways.

Fast-forward to thirteen years later, courtesy of Jen’s Journal, I have finally replaced those very hair straighteners. My new pair of GHD straighteners* in rose gold edition, they’re so fancy and you can all see why I love them! I’m a huge fan of rose gold, it has been a top trend for a few years and shows no sign of disappearing any time soon.
Retailing at £110, the set comes with a heatproof mat, a heatproof bag, plate guard, two sectioning clips and of course, the hair irons themselves. It all comes beautifully packaged in a glossy rose gold box too.

Upon first look, the straighteners look like the might feel quite heavy but they’re actually lightweight and easy to handle. I like that the set includes heatproof mat as this is something that wasn’t included in the original GHD’s, and now I don’t have to worry about burning the carpet! The mat rolls up neatly and attaches to the bag, which is rather nifty!
Whilst the GHD’s do the BEST job of straightening your hair, they can also be used to curl hair too. Adding curls and texture could not be easier as the new style GHD’s are designed with a rounder barrel and contoured ceramic plates so you can create curls, waves and flicks with ease. Whether you’re after a sleek hair or volumizing curls, GHD Straighteners will help you achieve your desired look.

The heat of the ceramic plates reaches a consistent 185° which the brand believes is the optimum styling temperature. They go into sleep mode after 30 minutes of inactivity. Whilst the sleep mode is a great safety feature, I do think that half an hour is still too long to wait until it automatically switches off – but I am nitpicking here. The most important part is that it does go off after a certain time of inactivity, and it should be fine as long as it’s placed on the heatproof mat – a peace of mind for us worriers!

GHD’s have become a brand that I trust and if anyone is considering investing in a pair of quality hair straighteners, I would definitely recommend them. They do exactly what you’d expect and they last for years!
I’ve teamed up with new website, Jen’s Journal which is part of Zenith Insurance plc, to give away a pair of limited edition rose gold GHD straighteners. If you’re feelin’ lucky, head over to Jen’s Journal competition page for all the details on how to enter! Good luck!

These look so stunning, I don't straighten my hair very often but if I was ever to get a new pair, these would be top of my list!

Loving the new look of the blog missy! Great post, I am in desperate need of some new straighteners and haven't had a pair of GHD's since I trod on and broke mine ten years ago.!

Gorgeous photos! I'm a fan of rose gold myself – fact: I don't even own a pair of straighteners; I'm so scared that I will end up burning off/damaging my hair! I may need to invest in some though.

Those are TOO pretty! I still have my bright pink GHDs that I got when I was 18/19…nearly 10 years ago!! They're still going strong too!

SO glad you've reviewed these as I am thinking of asking for the very same rose gold set for my birthday next month! I've had my current GHDs for years and years and years and I need to replace them before the explode (yikes!)

These are so so pretty, the rose looks really lovely on them. I had my GHD's for several years and unfortunately they went bang just before Christmas. At least they didn't electrocute me though like my laptop power cable that also went bang just a few weeks before! x
