primark haul 2014, primark haul january 2015
The other day, I decided to pop in to town and have a walk. I actually needed to buy some cold/flu medication but I naturally gravitated towards Primark. I thought hey, I’m feeling a bit blue and I’m going to treat myself to something… even though, as each January comes round, I am supposed to be on a spending ban. But Primark isn’t going to harm my bank balance!

I love a stripy top and there were lots of colour combinations to choose from but I picked a classic black and (off) white. It’s stretch and has three quarter length sleeves. At £4, I think I might go back and pick up the red and white striped top too.

primark make up bag, primark wash bag, pink wash bag,
I can never find a make-up big enough to fit all of my stuff in so I figured a wash bag should do the trick! When I staying at my mum and dad’s house for ten days over the Christmas break, I put all of my make up in a spare glossybox and then all of my skincare products in one of those big see-through storage boxes you get from Wilkos! I didn’t have a cute wash bag to put it all in and I thought that had to change! When I spotted these from Primark, I knew I had to buy two. One for make up, one for my skincare products, both cost £4. The coral pink one with a bow reminds me of the Ted Baker design and the pale pink one has a faux basket weave and rose gold branding.
Everytime I have bought vanity cases and make-up bags from Primark, they have lasted a really long time so I’ve got high hopes for these! You can use them to store whatever you want, or if you’re an art & design student, they make a great pencil case.

I love the colour of this little bag, which was only £6. It’d be a great bag for nights out or off out for a meal. I think that with the right outfit, this bag can look expensive (that is, until the clasp starts peeling off!!). There was a lot of stray thread which needed to be trimmed away but other than that, a nice looking bag which I can’t wait to wear!
stripy skirt, striped skirt
I’m not really sure about this skirt but it was in the sale for £2 so I can’t complain, really! I’m not really sure what to wear it with but it is something I would wear around the house and I like that it has pockets!
tartan throw
I bought a throw like this from Primark three years ago and I love it but it always annoyed me because it’s not long enough to cover my feet so when I spotted a large one, I knew I had to have it! It’s £15 and I has a blue tartan pattern on the top, but the thing I love the most is the soft fleece on the inside. I highly recommend these for cosy nights in!
floral wrapping paper
I seem to have accumulated a stash of wrapping paper. It is a never ending supply of wrapping paper, and here’s one more to add to that collection! I thought that this would go quite nice as a backdrop for beauty product photos but I’ve yet to test it out. Or I can just use it for what you’re supposed to use it for… wrap presents! The quality isn’t great but it was only £1 for 5 metres.

  1. i was just thinking with regret about how i threw away my favourite striped top some time ago, and might have to make a trip to primark to replace it! you made such lovely finds, the bags especially are really cute:-) how great is primark, haha! xx

  2. I live in those slash neck tops… worth picking up one in plain black and white as they're so easy to pair with patterned skirts & trousers 🙂 xx

  3. You could wear the striped skirt with the striped top! Any skirt/dress with pockets is a winner 🙂 I love the throw you got. The other day I moved into my winter housing dorm and it was FREEZING COLD. It was the most painful morning I've ever experienced. I was all decked out in my winter coat, tights, two pairs of socks, sweatpants, cashmere sweater, two pairs of gloves, and a hat INDOORS. This throw would have been a great addition to the party. Anyways, I'm going to just admire your purchases from afar, because…. I seriously canNOT spend anymore money after the holidays hahah -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey's

  4. Primark do some amazing throws, they're so warm and cosy in the winter. I really like that skirt and for £2.50, that's a bargain x

  5. Nice things you got! I especially like the make up bag with the bow and your little bag, so girly and so cute <3 Wish I'd have a Primark nearby T_T

  6. The little pink wash bag with the bow is so adorable! I saw the polka dot version of the top you got and was debating whether or not to get it. I just might now! 🙂

  7. The first thing I do if I ever go to England is head to a Primark as the hauls I've seen it always seems like they have amazing stuff in that store. Those wash bags are probably one of my fave things you purchased and I need those in my life. Hope I can find some that are like that to put my stuff in.

  8. Oh my those makeup bags are absolutely stunning! And only £4?! I have makeup bags coming out of my ears but I'd find it very hard resisting these if I saw them. I love the little pink bag too- it definitely would come in handy for nights out- I'm getting a bit sick of clutches. If only I could take a mini backpack or something lol. I really fancied a big cosy blanket from Primark before Christmas but as a present I got a super soft dressing gown which is pretty much a blanket. I like the skirt! Nothing beats a Primark haul 🙂

  9. that wrapping paper is so cute! I have to be proper in the mood for Primark; I totally avoided him over Christmas because I can't stand how busy it gets! I'll have to have a look in one soon though because I feel like I'm missing out!
