My Favourite 5: Gold Necklaces
Culturally speaking, I’m suppose to rave about gold. Oh, the Chinese love their pure gold! However, It has never ever been my thing, and it still isn’t. There was a time when I stayed well away from gold coloured jewellery and not to say that I don’t own any gold jewellery, I do but I think I have finally found five gold necklaces I really love.
Name Necklace
I’ve got a few name necklaces in my jewellery collection but I really wanted a
Sex And The City style name necklace. You can buy them from
Punky Pins and choose from all kinds of colours and glitter acrylics but I really wanted it in the gold colour, just like Carrie’s! Just like on Sex And The City, this is a necklace I’ll cherish forever!
Gem Stone
Purple is my favourite colour and this beauty of a gem reminds me of a troll doll I had when I was younger which had a similar purple gem in it’s belly button!
Ball chains aren’t my favourite but I do love this
gold necklace*, from Azuni, for it’s simplistic elegance. The pendant is small and pretty, and the colour of the 24k gold contrasts well with the beautiful princess cut Amethyst.
The colours look quite subtle on the Azuni product page but both the gold and the gem are quite rich. It isn’t something I would wear on a bare neck as I do think the type of yellow gold clashes with my skintone but it goes really well with plain chunky knits for that added pop of colour on a dull Winter’s day.
The jewellery on Azuni are beautiful, and for something so special, it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg either! It’s affordable and they offer free delivery too!
Coin Pendant
Ok, so this isn’t really gold. It’s rose gold… but it’s GOLD all the same…!
I absolutely love this necklace and have worn it in a loooooads of my outfit posts. It goes so well with smock dresses and baggy tops, basically anything oversized!
It’s on a long chain and has an interchangeable coin pendant so if I ever get bored of this one, I can treat myself to another. To be honest though, I really really like this LOVE pendant, and the coins in the Nikki Lissoni collection doesn’t come close.
There isn’t one in the current collection that is to my taste but I’m always having a browse to see if there are any new coin designs. I love the rose gold, but the sets also comes in silver and gold with a choice of short, medium or long length chains.
Quicky Custard Cream
You may have spotted this on my blog recently, it’s a dainty little Custard Cream pendant from Lovehearts And Crosses.
It’s such a quirky little necklace but it’s also very delicate too, proving ~quirkiness~ doesn’t have to be loud and colourful. The necklace is part of their British Charm range, and I did a blogpost on it which you can read over here.
The Bumble Bee
Saving the best ’til last! How GORGEOUS is this rose gold Bumble Bee Necklace* from Alex Monroe?! It is one of their best sellers and I can definitely see why, it’s such a sweet little pendant. I think it’s a piece of jewellery that I will wear a lot more during Spring and Summer, I can really show it off by pairing it with softer, lighter fabrics.
My favorite piece is the bumblebee necklace. My name means "honeybee" in Greek, so that would be a really cool piece to win!
