I think that my recent LUSH hauls and loungewear hauls says a lot about my current state of my social life or lack thereof!
Cosy nights in are my life during this time of year and I reeeeeaaaallly don’t like to go out in the evenings when it’s Winter, unless I absolutely have to. As soon as Bonfire Night is over, that’s it, you won’t be able to drag me out until Spring.
And what does cosy nights in call for? Plenty of new loungewear! I had a gift voucher for F&F
AND they had a 20% discount offer last week so I treated myself to a bunch of things. It’s at times like this when I wish I did YouTube videos because I don’t have much space in my flat to lay these items flat to photograph. It would have been much easier to be able to show you guys in a video but more info and pics can be found on the F&F website, I will link to the direct product pages.
Care Bears T-Shirt, £12
I am far too old for this but I feel like it is made for people my age! We were the ones who were grew up watching Care Bear cartoons and we have that nostalgic connection to it!
When I was little, my mum decorated my room with Care Bear wallpaper and we always called it the Care Bear room! I knew that this nightwear t-shirt would be really baggy and oversized but I think it’s suppose to sit above the knee!
I’m 5ft so on me, it’s right on the knee so it’s more of a nighty than an oversized t-shirt but it will be comfortable for sleeping in. It’s half polyester and half cotton which is totally standard for anything with a sublimation print on it, as a half and half is the only material blend that works with this printing technique. The the fabric does feel quite flimsy just as I thought it would but I couldn’t resist the Care Bears!
Tea and Cookie PJ Set, £10
Originally, I wanted a festive set of PJ’s but they sold out on the one I wanted so I picked this tea and cookie set which is really cute and girly. If you’re 5ft 3 or under, the trousers will be too long (as it is on me) but hopefully it will shrink a few centimetres in the wash!
Tartan Scarf (sold out online)
This scarf is one of my favourite item out of this lot! If you like really big scarfs, you’ll love this one! It has an orange/blue and cream plaid on one side, and blue/cream gingham on the other, so the contrast of prints make it look more interesting.
It’s so thick, it almost feels like a picnic blanket. It’s definitely going to keep you warm during the coldest of days! I can’t wait to wear this to go for late night walks with the dog when I’m back at my Mum’s house over Christmas!
Christmas Jumpers, £22 (sold out online)
I wanted a jumper that was festive but subtle enough to wear throughout December without being mocked! I really like this grey toned knit with white reindeers on it. I didn’t realise there was also plastic gems sewn in to the fabric too. They’re ok for now but I might remove them as they’re not really doing anything for me.
Tartan PJ bottoms, £8
Can’t get enough of pyjamas bottoms, nor tartan so these tartan pyjamas bottoms are perfect for me. Just like most trousers from the F&F range, they are too long for me even in the smallest size. They’re not for petite ladies and I would have returned them if I lived near a Tesco store but if they’re anything like the Primark PJ’s, they will shrink to a suitable size after a couple of washes! At least that’s what I am hoping anyway!
Fluffy Slippers, £5
These were added to my basket to make up the minimum spend before I could use the gift voucher but actually, I needed a new pair of fluffy slippers because my old pair got thrown in the bin last week. I don’t invest a lot in slippers and most of the ones I’ve had cost around £5 or so, and have served me well during frosty mornings. Oh, how I dream of having heated bathroom floors! Maybe one day!
