cheeseboard, christmas cheeseboard

The best thing about Christmas, in my opinion, is the cheese! All the cheese! I couldn’t enjoy it as much this year because I had eaten FAR too much. The cheeseboard was the final course of the night but prior to that, we had lobster for starters, and a huge Christmas dinner consisting of turkey, honey glazed ham, lamb and all the trimmings!
My auntie had baked a showstopper cream cake with lots of fruit on top (pictured below on the 2nd row) and it was delicious, I could’ve easily had an extra portion but I wanted to save room for my Mum’s sticky toffee pudding, which she only bakes once a year. And it has been our Christmas dessert of choice for the past 15 years! Yummyyyy!
christmas day

The day before, on Christmas Eve, my sisters baked gingerbread and other festive treats and we sat watching films on night (including Frozen, of course!) and gave the pets lots of cuddles and tummy tickles! I’m so happy to be reunited with them since I hadn’t visited home for 2 or 3 months. And the night finished off with cocktails and wrapping the last of the pressies! Total bliss!
What did you eat on Christmas Day? If anyone has blogged about their day, please feel free to leave your link in the comment box! Especially, if there are food pics!

  1. Oh my gosh, you made the melting snowman cookies! Very Pinterest 🙂 Seeing Bonnie all dressed up, I can now die happy. This year my Christmas was filled with untraditional foods, the highlights of which were green tea pudding topped with red bean, red bean soup with sago, and bubble milk tea. I like my desserts 😛 -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey's
