Shirt* Sugarhill Boutique (black ribbon not included) // Jeans Topshop // Coat Topshop // Brown Satchel* Nica Handbags // Ring* Thomas Sabo via Joshua James // Boots* New Look / Lipstick Lidl
Layering up is something I don’t tend to do, or rather it’s something I’ve not quite got the hang of but when I haven’t randomly thrown on a million layers of wool and fleece to keep me warm, you can find me in a nice shirt and black ribbon tie along with a big Winter coat!
It’s kind of the easy, lazy option for staying somewhat stylish during Winter, it’s effortless. I’d say that this is pretty much my go-to style in the past year, I’ve come to realise that the androgynous style suits my body shape the best. It makes me feel more my age.
Obviously, a shirt doesn’t keep me as warm as a jumper but get yourself one of them thermal vests (sexy) and you’re golden! Come to think of it, there aren’t days when I spend a lot of time outdoors so for me, a shirt and a coat is suffice. I don’t usually opt for wearing jumpers or layer up when I go out shopping or running errands because I get too hot! But when you’re out and you’re feeling a little chilly, just pop yourself into your nearest Topshop… those ceiling lights will beam down on your head so hard, it will make you feel like you’re in the Bahamas.
It’s weird because I think a lot of people – myself included – would say that I have a girly style, but in the last 12 months, I’ve definitely been dressing like a bloke, ha! The other day when I was in town (wearing a different outfit to the one shown in the pics) I caught myself in one of the mirrors at Primark, and thought hmm…accidentally dressed like an old man today. It doesn’t help that I have absolutely no curves whatsoever! 🙁
My Sugarhill Boutique shirt and has a repeated tiger illustration all over it. It’s cute, right? It sure puts a whole new meaning on “tiger print”! The shirt doesn’t come with the black ribbon, I took that from a River Island shirt I had in my wardrobe. My coat, old one from Topshop, actually has a black ribbon sew underneath the collar which ties in to a bow but I’ve had to tuck it under as two bows in one outfit would have been overkill.

I have been experimenting with a red lip lately! I’ve been on the search for the perfect red lipstick and I’ve got a couple I can choose from now, the one I’m wearing in the photo is from Lidl but make up isn’t stocked all the time in their stores, so another gorgeous red lipstick that I recommend is Hibiscus from Liz Earle which is similar but has a sheen to it.
Now on to the satchel bag! Ah, satchels! I am obsessed with them! The Katie Satchel from NICA Handbags is a decent size, great for work, shopping or a day out. At first, I thought the satchel look too big on me but I always end up being grateful for it when I’m out (and Niki put his entire belongings in there! Why don’t men carry bags!!)

You look fantastic! I love the print of the shirt, I'm really trying to get in to wearing shirts more but I don't like how collars look on my neck a lot of the time but I think adding a bow would be really cute x

Love Tweet xx
Nice to see you out and about again! I am loving the subtle matching from your top to the rest of the outfit, haha. And I know what you mean about the wearing slightly more masculine clothing.. I just recently had a shock myself when I saw my last outfit post. ("Hang on, but I love dresses and pastels and bows!" I said to myself in shock)
When the weather gets colder it's generally easier to wear more masculine styles though, I find.
