All Mums deserve something special and I always go the extra mile when shopping for mine, even if it means having to save up for months, it’s worth it! Sometimes she’s the most difficult person to shop for because she already has everything she wants but when I go shopping with her, she’ll pick up bits and bobs and I’ll stand nearby making a mental note of it all before discussing budgets and gift ideas with my sisters.
I’ve picked out some things that Mum’s might take a fancy to! I’ve tried to include quite a vast price range whilst keeping it nice and special.
Let’s start off nice and easy, this is a little gift for Mums with a sweet tooth! This jar of caramel is from the Fairy Tale Gourmet company which produces sweet treats inspired by fairy tales like Snow White and Alice in Wonderland.
I bought this for my mum over ten years ago and back then, Kitchenaid weren’t such a big brand and there wasn’t a lot of colours to choose from so unfortunately, the blender I bought for my mum is plain white (boring!!!). She loves it though, I just wish other colours were available at the time of purchase. They are great, expecially for making delicious strawberry milkshakes! Yum!
Anything from Jo Malone range are bound to make mums happy but the cologne sprays, in particular, are rather beautiful and exquisite. Whether your mum prefers a fruity, floral, sweet, woody, fresh or spice scent, there’s bound to be something that suits her. I popped in to the Jo Malone store to check out potential Christmas presents and the scents that stood out were: Pomegranate Noir, Earl Grey & Cucumber, Blackberry & Bay, Wild Fig & Cassis.
This is a little box of chocolates, enough for one, so your mum can enjoy them all to herself! I love the packaging of these, they come in different flavours and different colours.
Is your mum a fan of candles? Well, now’s the time to treat her to a candle that’s extra special. All Diptyque candles smell gorgeous, and it really adds a bit of luxury to the home. I couldn’t possibly pick a favourite, I genuinely love them all. They come in different sizes so depending on your budget, you can buy a large candle as a stand-alone present, or buy a little one along with extra other gifts.
I don’t normally swoon over appliances but every time I see these mixers, I wish I had one to call my own! (And I don’t even bake!). I actually bought my mum a Kitchenaid Mixer last year in a hot pink (her present isn’t going to be as extravagant as this, but I’m on the look out for something just as special!) but she was mega happy about her new mixer! My mum bakes all the time so she’s been making the most of this Kitchenaid…. and I get to eat ALL the delicious treats she bakes! Well worth it!
Nothing beats a relaxing bath, especially with the added luxury of Laura Mercier bubbles! They do smell really sweet but I have been told that the sweetness mellows once the honey bath melts away under warm water. Various gift sets are available but this particular one contains a jar of honey bath with a wooden dipper, souffle body creme, body mist and body scrub. The fragrances available in this set are Almond Coconut Milk and Tarte Au Citron.
A very sought after present this year, and it’s currently sold out on the Selfridges and John Lewis website. Fret not, the cracker can still be bought directly from the Jo Malone website. This is perfectly packaged in a festive cracker and pretty red ribbons! To me, this was more of an individual gift rather than a cracker you put on the table for all of your dinner guests!… For £32, the cracker contains a small tub of Nectarine Blossom and Honey body creme, Blackberry and Bay body wash, Lime Basil and Mandarin cologne.

  1. Maybe I should be a mom already because I would love the majority of these gifts! One day when I have my own apartment or house, I would love to buy a Kitchenaid Artisan Mixer, and a Jo Malone perfume is definitely on my wish list for when I start earning a paycheck 🙂
