LUSH Christmas Collection 2014, lush christmas 2014
Other than the LUSH Snow Fairy shower gel, I’ve never been all that interested in LUSH Christmas collection! …Until now, that is!
I’ve been LUSH Christmas products all over Twitter and Instagram, so curiosity got the best me and I decided to check it out for myself. As my nearest store is quite far away, I’m browsing the website first and then that gives me a chance to decide what to buy next time I visit the shop. I find LUSH quite overwhelming with the sight of all the fancy bath bombs and bubble bars placed side by side along with that distinctive LUSH store fragrance. My senses get confused and I usually only come away with one product. Now I can process what I want to buy from the Christmas range and not get so carried away (or overwhelmed, as the case may be!)
Here are just a selection of what LUSH has got to offer this festive season, and it’s all looking cuter and sparklier than ever! This is where my LUSH addiction starts….
Dashing Santa Bath Bomb, £2.95
Pop it in your bath and experience a festive fizz! It turns the water red and releases a refreshing blend of mandarin oil, bergamot, and orange flower – recreating the scent of satsumas on Christmas Day!
The Christmas Penguin Bubble Bar, £3.25
This little penguin is no stranger to the LUSH family, it’s obviously very popular amongst the Lushies! I actually didn’t like the look of it when it was first bought out, I thought it looks rather sad, as opposed to cute but I’ve definitely warmed to him (or her?!) It doesn’t have to look pretty anyway, because it’s going to get crumbled up and dissolved in the bath water! Another citrus scented one with orange flower absolute, Sicillian orange and lemon oils.
Holly Golightly Bubble Bar, £4.75
A glittery silver pudding with a gorgeous holly on the top, it sure looks fun to use! The inside of it is lovely festive green (resembling holly) which then of course turns the water in to the same colour. Gets you in the mood for Christmas with a bit of a warm, earthy, spice mix of cloves, orange, lime and patchouli.
Father Christmas Bath Bomb, £3.50
This sounds like the ultimate Christmas bath bomb! Shaped like Father Christmas and smells like Snow Fairy, I think this will be the first one I’ll buy next time I’m in the LUSH shop! It turns the bath water from red to bright green (soooo Christmassy!!)
The Melting Snowman Bath Melt, £2.25
This is another one that is back at LUSH for another season! After reading what the ingredients are in this one, it looks like a great one to help you relax during the choatic Christmas season. It contains almond oil and cocoa butter which sounds really nourishing for the skin. The cinnamon leaf oil and clove leaf oil will warm and stimulate circulation.
The Christmas Hedgehog Bubble Bar, £3.25
Made with rose absolute and ylang-ylang, the Christmas hedgehog’s is a floral based bubble bar. It doesn’t turn the water in to a bright and fun colour but it will add a bit of shimmer! I wish they gave it some black beady eyes instead of just poking to holes where the eyes should be (but I’m just nitpicking!)
Candy Mountain Bubble Bar, £2.75
If you’re a fan of Snow Fairy, you’ll love Candy Mountain! I know not everyone loves that sugary sweet and girly scent but I personally love it so I’ll be adding Candy Mountain to my collection!
Drummers Drumming Bubble Bar, £5.25
I love the look of this because it reminds me of a toy I used to have the looked just like this. This LUSH product is re-useable which explains why it’s a bit more expensive than the others. It has a smell of strawberries and cream! Lovely!
Butterbear Bath Bomb, £1.75
The size of this butterbear bath bomb is a bit on the small side, a bit like their blue Robot if you’re familiar with LUSH products. Nevertheless, it looks like it bubbles and foams up pretty nicely. It’s just plain white and has a gentle sweet vanilla fragrance.
Star Light, Star Bright Bath Melt, £3.50
So sparkly! This is an interesting one as it’s packed full of ingredients that awakens and relaxes; Lime, ginger, extra virgin coconut oil, shea butter and lavender oil. It turns the water shimmery yellow and green and there’s a shea butter fondant in the middle of the bath melt.
Snowman Kit, £5.00
You’ll have to keep your eye peeled for this one when you’re in the shop because it doesn’t actually come packaged like this. I think it comes in a roll of soft plasticine-textured dough and the idea is that you have to build the soapy snowman yourself. Or anything else you can come up with, it doesn’t really have to be a snowman! A lot of fun for big kids at heart (that’ll be me!)
So White, from £4.50
I’m going to try a different shower gel other than Snow Fairy this year, and I’ve got my eye on “So White”, an apple based shower gel with rose water to soothe your skin. I like the idea of an apple scented shower gels, I’m not sure I’ve seen many of those!
What LUSH products have you got your eye on this season?

  1. I've never really been into Lush but it's so popular across social media it's no surprise I've been sucked in! I had a massive binge on Monday night and picked up a few of the Halloween/Bonfire night specials to try out before the next pay day when I make a dip into the Christmas goodies (not that there might not have been one or two Christmas products purchased this week!)

  2. Oh wow! These are so pretty! Lush Christmas collection is my favourite thing about Christmas 🙂 xxx

  3. I'm pretty sure I'm going to end up buying a whole load of Christmassy treats in Lush this year. I usually just pick up my favourite soap Angel's Delight (which they're not doing this year … SULK) but this year I've completely fallen under the Lush spell. I've started up a little list of things I'd quite like and next time I'm in Town I think they'll all be coming home with me!

  4. Ahh I love Lush during the festive seasons, super sad but this will be my first year without a bathtub to use the Lush bath products in :c Probably good news for my wallet as it means I'll be cutting back on bath products but I think i'll still indulge in shower products and I might do a sneaky and use my bf's bath hehe
