Benefit Majorette | The Nicest, Peachiest Cream Blush

Benefit launched their new cream blusher, Majorette*, only a couple of weeks ago, but I’m already certain that Benefit’s new cream-to-powder blusher is going to a staple beauty item of mine.
Majorette is loooovely from the packaging design (of course! I wouldn’t expect anything less, Benefit knows how to do cute!) to the actual blush itself, it’s love at first sight! Just look at it! *swoon*

Even though I am obsessed with blushers, cream blushes have always been a bit of a weird one for me – I find them either way too dewy or too greasy for my skin. I also have troubles blending, I haven’t got the skill up to scratch yet.
So, when I heard that Benefit’s Majorette is a light cream-to-powder formula with a matte finish, I knew this could possible be a winner for me! The texture of this cream blusher is velvety and it’s super easy to blend on to skin without looking streaky or patchy. It evens out nicely with a few lights taps using your finger tips.

Described as a peachy pink, Majorette comes out more of a warm orange tone on my skin. It’s a soft enough shade that would suits every type of skin tone and complexion, it’s really that subtle and natural-looking.
In fact, Benefit Cosmetics calls this product a “booster blush”, a blush that amplifies. You can wear Majorette on it’s own for a natural flush of colour or you can use it as a boost by adding your favourite powder blush over it to perk up your cheeks!

Another thing that is really nice about Majorette is the scent. Scented make-up can be extremely off-putting sometimes but the new Benefit blusher smells of peach and pomegranate! I usually like make-up to be odourless or lightly scented, but when they do smell of something I like, I can’t get enough of it! Most brands keep their “fragrances” a secret, so it’s nice that Benefit added a fruity smell and are proudly telling people what it is. It’s a nice touch.
Majorette is priced at £23.50 and is available from all Benefit counters at Debenhams, Boots, John Lewis, and House of Frasers.

  1. This looks so lovely. I'm not normally a fan of blushes, actually. I have naturally pink skin and I find that blushers just enhance that fact (I think I apply them wrongly though, so it's my bad). This blush has me tempted to try using blushers again… pretty hard to resist that adorable packaging!

I feel you on the cream blush front. I just never seem to get those right. Glad you found a good'un, I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for it.

    1. Hello Faye.

No, Majorette is not like any other liquid tints created by Benefit Cosmetics or otherwise. Majorette is a cream blusher, which when it's applied onto skin, turns in to a matte powder finish. This blusher is not in a liquid form, unlike the cheek and lip tints. Hope this helps.

      Many thanks x
