Dress* Motel Rocks via ASOS / Watch Citizen / Lipstick MAC Crosswires
I’m always perusing Motel Rocks website. After all, it is a brand that’s featured on fashion blogs A LOT so it’s hard to avoid them. After buying a dress from their website for a wedding I was attending last year and then subsequently processing a return as it the dress fell at an odd length on me, I experienced some troubles with the refund even though I was within the short timeframe given for returning orders. The annoying this is that Motel are now offering a 365 day return (which is actually awesome) but having missed the boat on that, that very same dress is still wrapped up in it’s original packaging, plonked in a small corner of my bedroom 14 months later!
It’s always a safe bet to order on ASOS and I was browsing for a dress to wear to a birthday party coming up soon. There’s a 75% sale on so I had a long session on ASOS last weekend, several dresses were bought! When I spotted a couple of Motel dresses that I liked, I added them to the cart straight away. As I had issues with the sizing before, I decided to go a size down with this lacey shift dress. It fits really well but if you’re gifted in the bust area, you might find the upper part of this dress a bit too tight. It’s quite rare for me to find dresses like this that fits like a glove, AND it’s the right length. Motel and I can be friends again!
I’ve no idea what shoes to wear it with but maybe strappy sandals or even some ankle boots so a casual day-time look! I’m not sure! Below are some ideas, but what do you guys think?
!function(d,s,id){var e, p = /^http:/.test(d.location) ? ‘http’ : ‘https’;if(!d.getElementById(id)) {e = d.createElement(s);e.id = id;e.src = p + ‘://’ + ‘widgets.rewardstyle.com’ + ‘/js/shopthepost.js’;d.body.appendChild(e);}if(typeof window.__stp === ‘object’) if(d.readyState === ‘complete’) {window.__stp.init();}}(document, ‘script’, ‘shopthepost-script’);

  1. You look incredible! I've always had issues with Motel's sizing, but now that they're a bit more lenient with their returns policy I could be tempted to try them again. I do have some store credit to use after all! I want Crosswires even more after seeing you wear it again x

  2. This is such a pretty dress, I'd be really tempted to pair it with some converse for a day time casual but dressy look, and then some strappy sandals for night x

  3. This dress is so simple… and yet, simple perfect. I just love the delicate lace. And you wear it so beautifully, unfettered by accessories beyond your watch and glasses, so it can really shine.

  4. Your hair is adorable! And that dress suits you well. I always have trouble with finding dresses and skirts that are the right length, too. And I think ballet flats would be perfect! 😀
