I had a good look at my make up bag this week and I’m appalled at myself at how many items I have in there that needs to be chucked in the bin! I don’t know about you but I find it hard to get rid of make up though, especially when there’s a good half left! I know it’s naughty, and sinful for your skin but I like to use everything up until it’s empty – but some things in my bag just need to be thrown out!

I’d quite like to replace some of the cosmetics with brand new ones, and try something different in the process. My eyeshadow palette hit the pan ages ago, as did my HD Brow Kit so I’ve been eyeing up a couple of potential replacements! I’ve heard a lot of good things about Benefit Brow Zings and I love the brush set and miniature tweezers it comes with.

With powders, I have been using Rimmel Stay Matte Powder all the time and it is definitely good value for money and I may well re-purchase if there’s an 3-for-2 offer on but I’ve spotted Bourjois Healthy Balance Powder on a recent shopping and I’m tempted to buy that too! Also, I’ve been caught into the lip butter hype (I’m late to the party, I know!) but I’ve been eyeing up Benebalm from Benefit, and a lovely coral pink shade from Rodial.

After getting a miniature sample of Laura Mercier body souffle, I’ve been wondering if I should get it in a full size. It is really expensive for what it essentially a body cream but it smells so good!

What’s on your wishlist? Discovered any beauty must-haves recently?

  1. So many pretty things <3
I'm also really curious about the it's potent eye cream from YSL. It sounds like a really nice eye cream and that Stilla bronzer looks amazing!
    Take care*

  2. That Benefit brow product looks an awful lot like the Urban Decay Brow Box… which is still my favourite brow product of all time. Benefit have added one more brush though… clearly the USP 😉

Think I'll try that Rimmel powder, having gone off the Urban Decay mattifying one I have – it's no good if it only mattifies for 5 minutes!!

I've been trying not to eye up new make-up too much recently (all of my money seems to be going on clothes right now!), but have rediscovered Benefit's Cha Cha Tint. Such a gorgeous, summery colour!

  3. Ooh so many lovely products. The Laura mercier with coconut sounds lovely, I got the honney one for my birthday but with no applicator try as I might to get one for the shop I bought from and Laura Mercier no joy. Really awful considering the price so havent been able to use it. The sweet heart blush looks lovely and Jo Malone you can never go wrong Lucy x

  4. the kiehls midnight recovery has been on my wishlist for absolutely ages. the benefit brow zings is supposed to be really good. if you do end up buying it , would love to see what you think. x lashingsofmascaraon.blogspot.ie

  5. I've always wanted the try the Benefits product! I've discovered another item from Benefit which is just perfect, their They're Real Push Up Liner — I can't live without it now!

  6. The body souffles are lovely but personally I wouldn't get them again as the scent after a while becomes pretty overpowering! I'm on the hunt for an eyebrow filler too! I've been eyeing those Anastasia gel liners that are apparently supposed to be amazing !
