Rodial Glamstick is described as a tinted lip butter that contains the all important SPF. With all the hype surrounding lip butters, I have actually yet to try them (well, until now!). I’m always eyeing up the Revlon ColourBurst Lip Butters but even though they’re quite sheer, I haven’t found a shade that suits me yet. The Glamstick from Rodial is my first lip butter experience and I feel like I have definitely been missing out all this time!
It seems to look like a completely different shade on the website but it’s definitely a lot brighter than that, but Blow is a blue toned pink. I always that shades like this think would suit those with blonde hair and fair skin more. It comes out slightly more cooler and lighter on my skin tone than I’d like, and isn’t the best lipstick colour on asian skintone but it’s a gorgeous shade of pink, it’s very pretty. I don’t have a lip product in this shade so it makes a nice change but I love the look of Revenge and Wet too – something with a bit of red or orange in to add warmth to my yellow skin tone.
The coverage is light but packs a punch of colour, with the staying power of upto 3-4 hours (although a touch up is neccessary after a drink) and it leaves a nice soft tint on your lips. The lip butter also contains SPF 15 which is an amazing bonus. It’s also extremely moisturising which is due to the cocoa butter, Vitamin E and Hyaluronic Acid Spheres which also slightly plumps your lips. It isn’t highly glossy but it’s not matte either, it’s the right about of sheen that I like in lip colours. The best thing about this is that is smells like coconuts (a lovely bunch of coconuts!). The smell is not overpowering but I find myself applying this more and more because of the scent of it! It’s lovely!
Also, I don’t know what it is about clear perspex packaging but I love it! Not the flimsy, thin, cheap plasticy kind, but the sturdy type that glistens in the light! It’s love at first sight with Rodial’s Glamstick. I think the clear and clean packaging makes the lipstick colour look even prettier!
Rodial Glamstick retails at £25 and is available at the following stockists: Harrods, Selfridges, SpaceNK and selected House of Frasers stores.

  1. Anything that smells of coconuts is an instant winner for me! But I think the cool-toned thing makes this particular shade a no-no… I like the look of those more orange-y shades too though 🙂 I've never heard of this brand before so should definitely check them out. CC
