I know June hasn’t finished yet but I thought I’d get in there before I forget – there’s only a couple more days to go, so I hope you don’t mind! I’ve actually something much more exciting than a round-up on the 30th June so I’ve reserved my blogging spot for that instead (keep your eyes peeled for that on Monday, especially if you are a beauty junkie!)

So, another month is wizzing by and it’s scary how fast time goes! I got a lot done this month but I ended up slacking towards the end of the June, as I took time off work to do a spot of house viewing and catch up on other life-outside-work chores – so that means I’ll be working over the weekend to get up to date!

This month started off with an exciting little outfit shoot, which will be in a magazine in four weeks time. It was a really tight deadline and we didn’t have a lot of time to wait around for perfect lighting so we snuck under a tree at the park and took a few snaps. I had the Enrapture Totem Styler on the wrong setting and my hair turned out curlier than I wanted which was a bit poop but never mind! No one else will notice it apart from me. I usually have it on heat settings 1-2-1 or 1-1-1 but didn’t check until I curled one half of my hair!
I also had SO many new beauty products to try this past 4-6 weeks which has been fun! It’s because I take better care of myself during Summer, but I don’t bother with many beauty products in Winter, I’m just a hairy lizard under layers and layers of clothes! Ha! I always try to upload photos of new products on Instagram as soon as they arrive in the post or after I’ve bought them home from the shops – especially if they are new releases, they are always exciting! Soap&Glory Orangeasm and Benefit They’re Real Push Up Liner were amongst some of them. So if you follow me on Instagram, you’ll see products that I’ll review in full in weeks to come, or the odd one or two exclusive product that are about to be launched. I really want to start doing two or three beauty YouTube videos a month, I think that it’s a lot more useful for you guys to being able to see the product in movement and I think I’ll find it easier to chat through them. I have got a channel and there are a few Outfit Of The Day videos on there but in terms of a sit-down-and-talk video, I don’t know where to start but I am overthinking it. Maybe I’ll start off easy by doing a monthly favourite. Shall I? Shall I not? I don’t know!
It was also Father’s Day in the middle of June, of course, and I decided to have the family over and make them dinner. My place is quite small and the table only seats 4 people, so I ended up doing a little buffet with the picnic/bbq food deals from M&S followed by Afternoon Tea which my sister briefly blogged about. It was chaotic but definitely worth it as everyone came away feeling happy and full!
Hope you’ve all had a fab month! What exciting plans have you got for the Summer?

  1. looks like it has been really busy month. But busy is good (sometimes)! Can't wait to read reviews of Your new Beauty products. Bonnie and Oscar are gorgeous! They look so funny- Oscar seems to be grumpy and bonnie is just beaming at camera 🙂

  2. Very nice compilation – and of course including a rainy pic – hello UK weather (^__^)b
… but i really hope not to get in touch with rainy weather next month (unfortunately, rainy season is about to begin (-3-)° – will travel to south east asia, more facts coming soon)… nevertheless, next month will be a fab month!!

  3. I know what you mean when it comes to the exciting summer beauty releases. I've been really fortunate to be able to try out the Orangeasm range and the They're Real liner which are now firm favourites of mine! 🙂
I really enjoy reading these monthly catch up posts and writing them too but it's so crazy how quickly the months are passing.

  6. Sounds like you had a busy couple of weeks and by the way your pictures are always so lovely. You should totally start making videos if you want to, I know I would watch as I have been loving your blog post and I would if you did some look books as well as I adore your style Sarah.
