Best Shampoo For Dry Hair | Bumble and bumble Creme De Coco

With so much choice within the Bumble and bumble range, I always get very indecisive as to which shampoo and conditioner I want to try!
This Creme De Coco is great for dry hair and it was the one that caught my eye because….ok, let me be honest, the very first thing that came to mind was that I thought it was made with cocoa and because the packaging was brown, I thought it would smell like chocolate! I got a little over excited and it caused my brain to temporarily get ‘cocoa’ and ‘coco’ mixed up!
It doesn’t have cocoa in it but it does, of course, contain coconut extract! And with the name “Creme De Coco”, it just sounds like it’s going to be really rich and nourishing for you hair! When it comes to hair care, I do like to use something mid-high range from time to time.
For most of the time, for affordability, I’ll stock up on Herbal Essences when there’s an offer on but three or four times throughout the year, I do like to splash out and treat myself to some salon-quality shampoos, conditioners and deep conditioner treatment, especially when my thick, coarse dark hair is screaming for a bit of a rescue from all the styling products and hair dyes.

Bumble and bumble’s Creme De Coco is a rich, luxurious formula that contains kukui nut oil that is known for it’s moisturising and sun-protecting properties. It also protects from salt (sea water) and harsh winds, and it locks in moisture so your hair remains shiny, healthy and frizz-free. Other key ingredients in both the shampoo and the conditioner include coconut oil and coconut extract for hydration, and murumuru butter and mallow to calm, soothe and soften up your hair as well as adding, and maintaining a healthy shine.

The Creme De Coco masque is an intensive treatment which deeply conditions your hair. I always have hair masks in my bathroom, I’ve currently got three in there at the moment. It’s one of my absolute must-haves, I always have to have it so that whenever my hair feels really dry and damaged, I can give it a quick fix! The masque is thick and velvety consistency and makes your hair feel so nourished. It can be left on for 7 minutes or more, with your hair wrapped in a warm towel or sit in sunshine while the masque works in to each strand.

The whole set is great for the current state of my hair! I would highly recommend this for anyone with dry, thick hair. It detangles and makes hair more manageable. And needless to say, all three products smell SO GOOD!! The coconut scent isn’t as overpowering as some coconut scented beauty products tend to be.

Most people will agree with me when I say that Bumble and bumble products are amazing and it does exactly what it promises to do. It is definitely worth every penny! Niki only uses Bumble and bumble styling products now (and I steal them off him from time to time!) Due to it’s quality, you don’t need to use a lot of Bumble and bumble products because the tiniest bit is effective enough. With the shampoo, it lathers up very quickly which makes it easy to distribute all over the hair. A little of it goes a long way, which makes the money you’ve spend on this stretch a little further! Anything more than the size of a 50p coin is just a waste!

What shampoo do you use when it’s feeling dry and frizzy during Summer? And Do you have a favourite Bumble and bumble product?

  1. Having never tried Bumble and Bumble I do admit the various ranges that they have on offer seems extensive, I think I'd probably try their Sunday Shampoo first. This range sounds lovely, I'm not too sure how dry my hair is as it can be quite oily at the top but this stuff sounds nice for the ends.

  2. Oh I'm curious about this!
Although my hair is quite oily, it really appreciates a good moisturising shampoo and mask – it always looks less oily and damage whenever I skip more aggressive shampoos.

    Take care*

  3. I've been wanting to try this for ages. My hair is thick and unruly, so it sounds like just what it needs, plus I love anything coconutty! x

  4. Thanks for the recommendations. I've not tried any of BBs products though I'd really like to! I use LUSH all the time. In fact, I haven't used any "drug store" hair products for a long, long time. I just can't stand how they make your hair feel nice for the first 5 or 6 washes but then I just want to get rid of them! I know what you mean by the high end stuff is expensive, but honestly, I buy 2 large conditioners and approximately 4 medium sized shampoos from Lush to last me the ENTIRE year. So I think it's worth it 🙂 though it also depends on how often you wash your hair. I wash mine 2-3 times a week.

Thanks again for the great post!
