MeMeMe Dark & Divine Mascara* – RRP £8.00
When it comes to mascaras, I’ll hold my hands up and admit that I’m not a loyal gal, and I am still on the search for the perfect one. As soon as one dries up, I’ll just pop to Boots and pick up the one that stands out the most in the £6-£8 price points. I tend to stick to drug-store brands as I feel like it does the trick! As long as it doesn’t clump my eyelashes together, I’m happy.
My new mascara is from British beauty brand, MeMeMe. Most of you will know them for it’s lip and cheek tints but other than the bestsellers, I tend to overlook what else this brand has to offer! The newly launched Dark & Divine mascara is a high gloss, jet black, fibre-enriched formula. It does a great job of plumping your eyelashes in volume and length. It made my eyelashes long enough to interfere with my specs, I don’t know if any fellow spectacle wearers have this problem but I guess I do wear my glasses quite close to my eyes!
The brush is pretty straight forward which is great because I don’t really like fancy ones that curve or at a weird angle, and it’s the perfect size to define each lash! The colour is an intense black and the quality of it is nice for an affordable mascara. Usually, I apply two coats of mascara to really pump up the volume (cringing at that phrase “pump up the volume” especially when Rita Ora says it in the Rimmel advert) but this one only required one. If you’re considering applying two coats of the Dark & Divine, wait for the first coat to dry before apply the second so that it doesn’t stick a few of your eyelashes to each other. I always have a spoolie brush handy when I’m applying mascara, just so that I can easily separate the lashes in instant, if need to! It is a nice formula, it doesn’t dry up throughout the day and flake off on to your cheeks. It’s also not too stubborn so it comes off with ease with a bit of make-up remover.
The packaging is definitely in keeping with the MeMeMe brand. The gold isn’t exactly YSL and it doesn’t glow as beautifully, but at least it’s not black. I don’t like it when mascara packaging are black (it gets lost in my make up bag) but like I said, when I’m shopping for a new mascara, I tend to go for the ones that stand out! So for me, the brighter the packaging, the better!
MeMeMe is available online or in Superdrug store nationwide. Dark & Divine will be in stores on the 14th April.

Great review 🙂 x
I always try out new mascaras too, but one of my all time favorites that I go back to is the L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes, I highly recommend it!
boho vanity ♡
I hate black packaging for mascaras too, mainly because they get filthy.. I have tried mememe lip and cheek tints and loved them, so when my mascara runs out I will try and remember this! I do however go for gimmicks, and love shaped wands xxxx

I am not loyal with my mascaras either – it is just way to easy to be lured in by better packaging. This one might suck me in if I saw it on the shelf 🙂

Looks like a nice mascara.
Personally, I don't like to have too man mascaras open but I like to have at least one Drugstore and one from a nice High End Brand (I have sensitive eyes and I'm really picky with mascaras)
Take care, have a nice day!*
I still need to try the MeMeMe brand. I've heard about it before, just not too sure where.. I just never seem come across it when I'm shopping for makeup. Can you only buy it online or is it available in boots?
