I love pamper products and my latest addition come from Sanctuary Spa, an affordable and accessible brand.

All three of these products are lovely, and I’ve really enjoyed using them. It’s nice to have things like this to de-stress, especially as I’ve been going through an anxious phase lately, I can’t seem to stop over-thinking things and it’s making me feel sick this past couple of months!

It comes and goes but the most important thing for me to do is to learn to switch off, do something that relaxing and reset my mind, and gain control of the situation.

For me, one of the things that works is having a big bubble bath with Netflix on, and using my best pamper products!

products to help you get a good night sleep
The Smoothing Silk Polish is a silky cream which contains ground coconut shell which gently exfoliates.
There are ingredients in this such as sweet almond oil, shea butter, ylang ylang (known to reduce stress and relieve stress), frankincense (known to clarify and calm) and patchouli which helps reduce anxiety before sleep.
I am a bad sleeper, I don’t have insomnia but my mind is most active at this time of night and it takes me FOREVER to drift off to the land of nod. I’ve often bought things to try which promises to encourage a good night sleep.
I’ve tried lavender pillow spray, all of the Raddox bubble bath and Kalms herbal sleeping tablets, and they tend to be effective for me, so I had high hopes for Sanctuary Spa’s Smoothing Silk Polish* (£8). I don’t know whether it’s a placebo effect but it really does help me fall asleep quicker and I do feel more relaxed. Anything that helps me get a better night of sleep is worth trying out!
affordable body butter
The big tub with the bright red lid is the Cocooning Body Butter (I love the word “cocoon”!) and has a blend of ingredient which helps you to feel more relaxed.
I was a worried that this would make me itch because most body butter with a strong fragrance tends to irritate my skin but this was absolutely fine and it sank on to my skin really quickly.
It’s not greasy and the fragrance doesn’t linger. I’m not 100% sure about the relaxing qualities of this but I’m just glad to find another tub of body butter that doesn’t make me itch all over! At £8, this is a bargain.
sanctuary spa 7 day moisture oil balm review, affordable products for dry skin
Last but not least, I get a bit tongue-tied when I say this one out loud but it’s the the 7 Day Moisture Miracle Oil Balm
It’s a handy sized tube that you can pop into your bag and take it everywhere with you but with such a rich formula, you won’t need to use this often but that depends on how dry your skin is.
You can use this on hands, cuticles, feet, elbows, heels, basically use on any areas in which you suffer from dry skin (apart from your face!).
It’s quite a unique balm in that it comes out of the tube as a balm but it turns into a rich and luxurious oil on your skin, leaving it feeling nourished and replenished. Even though I don’t need to use much of this, I can’t stop using it because it’s so cool when it melts on your skin and turns into oil (easily pleased!).
A product like this will become an essential for the Summer when you want your skin in tip-top condition! At £7.25, it’s so affordable too!
All three products are free for parabens and has not been tested on animals. Available to buy in Boots or directly from Sanctuary Spa website.

  1. This sounds so lovely! I might try some pamper products to help with my anxiety too. Ah a bubble bath sounds so good, I may have to make this happen.

  2. I love a good nights sleep product. Anything that smells soothing does the job for me. I have currently been rubbing Badger Sleep Balm on my temples and under my nose which leaves a lovely lavender scent to help me to sleep 🙂
