I feel like if it’s one thing I know how to do as a blogger, it is working with drinks companies! I really enjoy working with non-fashion brand in a fashion-related project. It makes me think outside the box, and I think it offers a different mix to the usual content. Rekorderlig is a brand that I love teaming up with, and considering they chose super blogger, Caroline Blomst to front one of their campaigns, it’s safe so say that Rekorderlig loves bloggers too!
The latest collaboration sees myself styling an outfit for the launch of their Spring Collection which has been inspired by the 2014 spring fashion runway trends. With Spring being so close (it’s just around the corner, and I CAN NOT WAIT!) and to keep in the spirit of London Fashion Week, Rekorderlig have asked me to style an outfit inspired by one of their Spring flavours.
As I’ve already done a strawberry outfit for Pago last week (unfortunately, I am not dressed as a strawberry, but please do hop over to my blogpost to check out how I’ve chosen to wear bright pink) I’ve picked a different flavour for this style challenge. As I mentioned in last week’s very pink blog post, I have very little clothing in bright, fruity colours so I had to have a good look at what I could use for this. As the pear flavoured cider is my favourite, I wanted to buy something for this, I had my eye on a pastel green top from Topshop but I didn’t have time to go out and buy it. I remembered that I had a gorgeous orange pleated midi skirt and a yellow clutch bag, so I thought AH-HA! Passionfruit it is!
I am really sentimental about this skirt. It isn’t something that I wear all the time, but I can’t bring myself to get rid of it. I don’t get attached to clothes and usually when I have a Spring clean, if I haven’t worn something for the past 12 months, then it goes to charity or eBay – no question about it – I have far too many clothes and very little storage space.
This skirt is something I’ve pondered about, however, the reason why I don’t want to get rid of it is because I wore it on one of my very first outfit post, all the way back in 2011 when I fell head over heels in love with blogging. Look how many comments I used to get! 131! It’s nice to be able to give the skirt an 2014 update, with a crisp white unbuttoned shirt, chic court shoes, a fabulous leather clutch bag, a hair colour that isn’t as bright and a huge improvement on the quality of my photos! I’ve even gone back home to take some outfit photos. Long time readers will recognise the garden! Aw, nostalgic!
Which look do you prefer? Old or new?

  1. This is such a pretty, classic and polished look :3 (which reminds me that I need to get a small belt like yours to wear with a A-line / Skater skirt that I got recently)

Take care, have a nice day! :3

  2. I love how you styled the skirt this time around, very chic and on trend especially love the bag! So vibrant and stylish. Although the other outifit is very cute – didn't recognised you with your hair!

  5. This is such a pretty and sophisticated look! I love the blouse and that clutch. Rekorderlig is basically the only alcoholic beverage I drink but I haven't tried the passionfruit yet. Sounds delish.
