REN Omega 3 Optimum Skin Serum

REN Omega 3 Optimum Skin Serum | Review

I was apprehensive about using REN’s Omega 3 Optimum Skin Serum* (£25) because a couple a months I had a bad reaction to face oil so when I learned this was serum oil based, I was careful.
I recently needed a little something to sort my chapped, dry skin over the cold winter months because the moisturiser I’m using doesn’t seem to work as well. Slowly, I introduced this serum from REN* to my skincare routine. My skin gets very dry, especially round this time of year, so serums are a nice addition.
I have LOVED using REN products before and have had no problems because of their gentle formulas. The brand is against animal testing and their products do not contains parabens, sulphates, mineral oil or any other nasty artificial chemicals – an absolute bonus in my eyes!

REN Omega 3 Optimum Skin Serum

This serum contains Omega 3 which strengthens, re-energises and repairs the skin. It also reduces signs of wrinkles, leaving skin plumper, smoother and healthier.

It says on the packaging that you apply two or three drops of the serum under moisturiser or make up in the morning or at night. I think three drops is too much, one pump dispenses quite a lot so that is all I use. The serum absorbs very quickly and it is not at all greasy or oily. It leave my skin feeling hydrated, soft, smooth and plump, and it is exactly what my skin needs right now, I need that extra layer of protection.

The serum is suitable for all skin types, but it works extra well on dehydrated skin such as mine. It is the first time I’ve used a serum that actually works! My favourite thing about this is the smell of it. Quite often, with this type of product, they’re either a floral or medicinal scent, but this one smells like a bag of Haribo sweets! It’s tangy, lemon-y but sweet and creamy – just lovely!

You can this serum from their website, or at the following stockists: John Lewis, M&S, Space NK and ASOS

Thank you so much for sharing this review. I wanted to use something for my face that will keep my face healthy but not oily. I have tried several products but my problem is that it gets my face more oily than the usual. That is why I just use toner and only before bedtime I use moisturizer for my face. –
