Burt’s Bees Blueberry & Dark Chocolate Lip Balm | Review

I have been hooked on Burt’s Bees lip products for the past couple of years ago, and I would always recommend these lip balms over Vaseline any day! I stopped using those little tins of Vaseline because they they left my lips feeling dry and flaky, so I went on a bit of a quest to find something that would actually moisturise! I use lip balms every day, and whether it’s in my bag or in my pocket, I just have to have one with me at all times, particularly around this time of year.

Burt’s Bees Blueberry & Dark Chocolate Lip Balm | Review

The latest addition to Burt’s Bees is a “dessert combo for your lips”, a revitalising lip balm with blueberry and dark chocolate. This adds to their five other gorgeous scents which includes pomegranate oil, mango butter and pink grapefruit. The blueberry and dark chocolate smells really nice, albeit it’s not for everyone (my sister, for example, doesn’t like it at all).

The chocolatey kick comes through much more than blueberry. It is really unique scent compared to the other fruitier ones. I find that the formulas of these lip balms are slightly different to the Burt’s Bees tinted balms (which I am obsessed with!), they don’t last on the lips as long but it does provide a light layer of clear, transparent buttery balm.
They don’t feel waxy, it’s more creamy and glossy. The best thing about this is that they are made from 100% natural ingredients and for a beauty product that is used on a daily basis, it’s pretty important that they’re free from harmful chemicals and artificial ingredients.

Burt’s Bees challenged me to think more about nature and what it brings us, especially in the beauty world. After all, they are a brand that are passionate and committed to creating natural products responsibly. I was given a Fuji Instamax camera to take some photos of what nature means to me, but I have had some problems with the camera, and the fact that nature wilts and hibernates this time of year! That is the whole beauty of nature though, that it comes back to life, working to renew and regrow as a stronger and more beautiful object.

This one sounds soooo scrummy! I have the replenishing one and that one helps keep the chappiness away.
