What I Wore: Black Chiffon Tunic

How To Style Black Dress
how to style little black dress
Dress F&F / Shoes Miss Selfridge / Clutch Bag* Not On The Highstreet / Necklace Red Herring

This “dress” from F&F is actually a tunic, but I can get away wearing it as a dress because of my short height! It is a bit baggy and boxy on me, but it is comfortable and doesn’t make me feel self-conscious. Not too bad for £20.00, I didn’t get too precious about it when drink was spilt on me! It also comes with a gold toned detachable necklace but I took this off and replaced it with a sparkly crystal necklace from Red Herring. I love it because it’s mainly black crystals so it’s not OTT. I wore this outfit on an evening out with friends, it was just a few quick drinks so I didn’t get too dressed up. However, these days when I go out, I tend to throw on something black anyway. I prefer to wear something really plain and then wear heavier make-up for nights out. Is that boring?! Night outfits are not as popular on fashion blogs, but I’d love to know what do you girls like to wear on nights out? I used to be all about bright colours and eye-catching prints but now I like to keep it pretty low key.
As I have mentioned before, I’ve toyed with the idea of doing YouTube videos for months and months! I have been working on a couple of outfit videos, so keep an eye out for the first one tomorrow (Sunday). My YouTube page is looking very empty at the moment, but I’ll be working on it from now on! Hope you’re all having a fab weekend so far!

I can wear tunics as dresses too! One great advantage of being short! This one is so cute on you. I think the boxy shape looks so cute on you – especially with those classic heels.

You look lovely here, your necklace is particularly gorgeous! I tend to wear brightly coloured mini dresses with heels and heavier eye makeup when I go out!

You don't look the least bit boring. This is a very chic outfit.

I tend to wear all black outfits as well when I go out, because I don't think colour suits me much. And as you say, you can experiment with makeup more when your clothing isn't attracting the most attention.
